Buy nowI have QuickBooks Premier and I have set up a new class in class list. But when I try to use the new class in transactions and budgets, it always said the new class was not in class list. How can I fix this?
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, LanPCBC. I'll be providing troubleshooting steps to ensure you can see the newly created class to use in transactions and budgets in QuickBooks Desktop.
To start with, you'll have to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This is to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes while running QuickBooks.
Then, I suggest running the Verify and Rebuild Data Utilities to get this sorted out. The Verify Data utility identifies potential data damage issues that might've caused the new class to be missing from the Class list, while the Rebuild Data utility repairs damaged data in your company file. Before this, you'll have to secure a backup copy of your company file.
To Verify data:
If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check” you need to rebuild your file. If there are no problems with your data, you’re done.
To Rebuild Data:
