When I use Quickbooks online from my computer, the mileage module only shows about 10 trips on my screen. But I have hundreds of trips. Therefore, I cannot edit these trips or check them to see if they are business or personal. However, my Quickbooks IOS app shows all of my reviewed and unreviewed trips. Ironically, the Quickbooks online from my computer shows a bar graph with trips in January and February, but I can't see those trips in the list below the graph.
Thanks for posting, @srmaur.
I have some information about viewing trips. Currently, the option to view more than ten mileage trips is unavailable. I can see how your experience would help us provide a more customer-friendly interface. Rest assured, your idea has been shared with our Developers.
I'd also suggest sending a product suggestion through our site: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.
On that page, you can also view the recently updated ideas added to the program.
In the meantime, you can browse our help content page. It has our general QuickBooks topics with articles.
I'll be around if you still have questions or concerns with mileage or trips, so don't hesitate to reply. Take care and have a nice day ahead.
I am a little confused though. I'm not sure why any developer would ever create the mileage module and only allow the user to see the last 10 trips. How is a user supposed to go back to review the trips to categorize them as business or personal. Surely most users will log far more than 10 trips between the times he can sit down to categorize them all. If what you are saying is true (i.e. that only the last 10 trips can ever be seen), then this is a product management incompetence. I find it hard to believe that someone could have designed the interface so poorly. So can you please check again and see if this is indeed the case? Or, does it look like my software is just not working correctly?
Thank you very much for your help.
Hello there, srmaur.
Although having the option would be a great asset to QuickBooks, the option to do so isn't available just yet. However, I can see how beneficial this would be for you and your business, so I have personally submitted a feedback request to our Product Development Team. Our product developers review each new request and consider them for future updates. You may also submit your feedback/product suggestions straight to our product engineers for future update.
Here's how:

I am looking carefully with this feature to try to make it useful to me. I am observing several other things that are concerning.
1) my Quickbooks IOS mobile app does show more than 10 trips, so why it this functionality different than the Quickbooks on-line on my laptop computer?
2) my Quickbooks IOS mobile app is no longer automatically tracking my trips. I have made sure that all settings are correct. It stopped automatically logging my trips back in August 2021. I'm not sure why. But now, it simply doesn't do it, no matter what I try. I have to do it manually.
Thank you.
Glad to see you again here in the Community, @srmaur.
Don't be worried if your phone or tablet shows missing or incorrect trips. Here's how to customize the QuickBooks mobile app and your device to accurately track trips. We'll also show you how to edit the information for particular trips.
Please note that you can only track mileage if you're logged in as a user with admin privileges for the company file.
For the detailed steps, check out this guide: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Even though all my app settings are correct (per the help pages), my app still never auto tracks my mileage. Therefore, I manually start tracking before every trip. However, even though the app correctly shows my beginning and ending locations, it show 0 miles travelled for these trips. I have no idea how to correct this because even the edit mode does not allow me to change the miles driven.
Honestly, the Quickbooks mileage app is practically useless. It costs me more in time and lost tax write offs than it is worth. It is extremely frustrating considering I pay a hefty monthly fee for my Quickbooks.
Something has happened to the app. It tracks 1-2 days worth of trips, then stops. ALL my settings are correct; I've checked everything QuickBooks recommends. I have submitted 2-3 tickets in the last month via the app, with no reply. I have updated the app, updated my phone, allowed tracking, ensured all things are checked green listed in the troubleshooting section, etc. FIX IT PLEASE!!
I can provide some information that can help resolve the error you're having with your mileage, @mbockr01.
I recommend contacting our Customer Support team if you're still experiencing problems tracking your trips after following the troubleshooting steps. They can access your account in a safe environment and investigate the problem you're having, as well as the status of the tickets you've made. Then, assist you in resolving the issue.

I have experienced the same - in my case, the mobile app autotracks a couple of trips then ignores the next few trips. Then it might track a few more. Very frustrating.
For what it's worth to anyone experiencing one of the problems I described above (i.e. that often when I manually record a trip, the mileage shows that I travelled 0 miles), I found a work around. In my mobile app, I open the "Mileage" module and go to the "reviewed trips." Then I click on a trip showing 0 miles and click "edit". I then click on the starting address and save it again. Then do the same with the ending address. Somehow this makes the calculated distance correct itself to show the correct distance between the points. I can then save the whole transaction and go back to the list of reviewed trips. It's a pain in the @SS, but at least it's better than having to re-enter the whole transaction. A better option would just be for Quickbooks to fix this mileage module - please!
I feel like paying $40/month should give me features i get in GDocs for free.
sure I need to do a little more work, but at least my trip entries show up. Kind of a basic feature for LOGGING TRIPS.
I’m cancelling since its a waste of my money.
Know that im not blaming you, but please tell your manager about this issue. Its stupid and we shouldnt even be discussing it.
