Scheduled reports not starting

I am having trouble with scheduled reports not starting. I am running QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024 on Windows 10 home. I am able to set them up and it tells me that they will be run at the next hour and when I check back, it shows that the last email was "not started" and the next email will run again at the next hour. I have updated the software, removed UAC via two methods, run QB as admin, restarted many times, I am NOT running in multi user mode, the scheduled report is active, I have only 1 company file open, I can email reports on demand, the computer is not asleep or hibernating at the time the reports are set to generate and Outlook is open. When I check the QBScheduler.exe file in the task scheduler app, it shows that the task was competed successfully.

Any help would be appreciated.

Scheduled reports not starting

Let's work to resolve this issue, Rxelent. I appreciate your efforts and confirm that you have met all the requirements to ensure your report will be sent on time.

Before we proceed, have you checked if your Keep QuickBooks running for quick startups option is turned off? We need to make sure that it should be turned off to ensure you can schedule reports. Follow these steps to be guided in checking it:

  1. Select Edit from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Go to General, then click the My Preferences tab.
  4. Untick the Keep QuickBooks running for quick startup checkbox.

If you are still experiencing the same issue after trying the procedures mentioned above. In that case, I recommend running the Verify and Rebuild Data utilities to get to the root cause of the problem. The Verify Data utility scans the company data file for any data damage or corruption and identifies any potential issues found. On the other hand, the Rebuild Data utility repairs the identified data issues and restores the damaged or missing data.

It's possible that your file has been damaged or there is a data integrity issue causing the program to fail to send the scheduled report. In such cases, running the Verify and Rebuild Data utilities can help quickly isolate and resolve the problem.

Scheduled reports not starting

There is no option for keep QuickBooks running on my version of QB.

I have also rebuilt and verified the software twice with restarts and it has found no errors. I have resorted the memorized reports as well. I also moved my company file to a location on my local drive to see if that would help and it has not. My reports are still "not started".

I ran the quick fix and got a lot of path not found messages and it could not find files it was looking for (see attachment). Does the company file and other files need to be in a specific folder?

I also ran the file doctor and it did not find any problems.

@Rxelent

Run the Condense Data utility with any scenario for testing purposes. If you didn't encounter any error messages, your file is fine and the rootcause should be in the QB Desktop program itself.
