Since the new templates have been added, my Pay Invoice button no longer appears on any of my new invoices. Can someone please help me get them back?

Pay Invoice button has disappeared since the new templates were added.  It still exists in my old invoices, but not any new ones I make, even if I tell it to use the old templates.  Help!!

Thanks for visiting the QuickBooks Community, mscott. I've got a couple of troubleshooting steps to help you fix the issue of being unable to see the pay invoice button in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To start, I suggest reviewing the online delivery settings of your QBO account to ensure your customers can see the Pay invoice button. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Accounts and Settings.
  2. From the Sales tab, tap the Online delivery section to edit.
  3. Ensure to select Online invoice in the Additional email options for invoices.
  4. Click the Save button. Then, hit Done.

 

Moreover, please make sure that your QuickBooks Payments account is still active and connected to your QBO account. If everything's good, proceed with reviewing your payment options by following Step 2 of this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Payments.

Furthermore, I suggest sending your invoices through a private/incognito window if you haven't tried it already. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If they can see the button using a private browser, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

Yes, it was resolved.  I had changed the delivery settings to PDF instead of Online Pledge, and that caused the payment information to not appear.
