I'm having a hard time explaining my question apparently. Let me give this example: someone walks in the store and I want to charge them $50 on the gopayment app. I don't want to choose an item or a customer - I just want a miscellaneous sale of $50. This is done through the gopayment app by selecting "custom amount". It automatically assigns "non-taxable" to this. How do I automatically make everything I charge money for "taxable" without having to click extra buttons on the app??
Hello again, theprintstop-yah. I appreciate you getting back and providing detailed information about your concern.
In your first statement on this thread, you're right that you can charge sales tax by assigning to customer/product/service. Right now, the option to charge sales tax even without assignments is unavailable.

I am having the opposite problem. I make a sales receipt in QB online and it automatically calculates sales tax and then I go to the Go Payment and enter the custom amount and it is adding additional sales tax to the client. I just want to do sales tax on my online platform, how do I stop it in go payment?
Hello JBM44,
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Could you share the method you used to create the sales receipt with me? For example, are you recording the sales receipt in QuickBooks first? If this is the case, we suggest creating the sales receipt or invoice payments in the GoPayment App first to avoid additional sales charges. Depending on which version of the GoPayments app your using, the article below assists with processing the payment.
I will be looking out for your comments to help you further. See you soon.
