What happened to the email sent / opened information at the bottom of the invoice screen?

There used to be email history at the bottom of invoice screen - when it was sent, when it was opened. That is now missing. We used this information daily.

Let me assist you regarding the email history, accounting328!

The Activities section in the invoice is still available and it reflects the email history. The most possible why you're unable to see it is due to a browser error. You'll want to perform some steps to fix it.

Let's start by using an incognito window and open the invoice from there.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

You'll want to clear the cache since it causes errors in QuickBooks Online. Also, you can use any of the mentioned browsers. Just make sure that they are up-to-date.

Check these links if you need help on how to record invoice payments and send invoice reminders.

Keep on posting if you need anything else. I'll be here!

What happened to the email sent / opened information at the bottom of the invoice screen?

That seems unlikely since it began happening yesterday on both my computer and my co-works computer which are in different locations as we work remotely.  The more likely issue is QBO muck about fixing things that don't need fixing.

Thanks for the quick response and for clarification, @accounting328.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) recently released an update that lets our users view their invoice activity by selecting it from the Invoices tab. Let me walk you through the steps.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Select the Invoices tab.
  3. Locate and select your preferred invoice. 2.PNG

Additionally, in case you need to learn some tips and tricks about personalizing your invoices, check out this link for guidance: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, to stay updated on the latest news and updates about QBO, visit our QuickBooks Blog page for reference.

Keep me posted if you need further assistance in managing your invoices or with your account. I’m just a post away from you. Have a great day ahead and stay safe.

This is NOT an improvement.  Our invoice list is very long.  It was much more useful when I could click on the invoice from the Customer tab and see it's status and activity at the bottom.  This new method is essentially useless when looking for the status of an older invoice.  Even a couple of days renders it almost impossible to find in this manner.  Perhaps if you the "upgrade" department focused on request upgrades instead of fixing things that aren't broken without a really understanding of how they are currently beings used, we'd all get a lot more done.

This just happened to me yesterday. I use google chrome and cleared the cache. Still can not see the activity on the invoice screen in QBO as I did just this past Friday.
