I know a way on how to resend the invite link in QuickBooks Online, usermconley.
To do this, let's go to the contractor's profile and send the email again from there.
Here's how:
If you're unable to resend the invite, it could be that the details of the contractor have been completed. I suggest following steps 1 to 6 in the Send an invite to existing contractors article to make the Send a reminder link available again.
If they're unable to receive it, I recommend letting them check the junk folder. It's possible that email is recognized as spam and block them from going to the inbox.
Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you manage your contractors in QuickBooks Online. This keeps their information up-to-date: Add, Edit and Inactivate Contractors.
I encourage getting back to this thread if you have other concerns. I'll be right here to continue assisting you.
Thank you, but I don't need to invite them to submit their W-9 details. I already have that information loaded as we collected W-9s outside of QB. Instead, I want to invite them to view their completed 1099 - the link, the one that was sent automatically inviting them to view their 1099 when my company filed the 1099s with the IRS - has expired and they need a new one. One contractor has a QB account set up already, but the 1099 from my company isn't showing, and the link that came from when I filed their 1099 has expired. I was hoping that resending that link would link my 1099 with her account, allowing her to see it. Is there anyway to resend the "view your 1099" link or do they just have to wait for the paper copy that's coming via snail mail?
Thank you.
Thank you for getting back to us, @usermconley.
I'm here to provide additional information about sending an email invitation to let your contractors view their 1099s.
If you'd like to let them view their 1099s after submitting them to the IRS through QuickBooks Online (QBO), then you can send them an invitation to create their free QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. In case the link you've sent them has gone expired, you can resend them the email invitation.
Let me show you how:

Hi Charlene,
You are not answering the question I don't think?
We created 1099's for our contractors - those 1099's were sent to the contractors. For some, the link expired before they could view those 1099's. So how do you resend the link to the 1099's? That's all we want to do.
And why does the link expire? That makes no sense.
Thank you.
I appreciate the additional details you've shared with us, @ChrisDon.
You can let your contractor log- in on their free QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account so they can see the 1099 forms since you've mentioned that they've already set up their W9 form.
Here's the link for the free QBSE account:https://selfemployed.intuit.com/. Then, let your contractors enter the login credentials they used when they first set it up to fill out their W-9 information. Once done, you can let them go to the Clients tab and then Forms. This is where they can view and download their 1099s.
You may share this article with them for more information: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Let me know how it goes after letting them follow the steps I've mentioned or if you have any follow-up questions. I'll be here to help. Take care!
This link doesn't take you to a free link? If you go here it only shows 3 paid plans?
Allow me to provide some information about the link that you'll use to access your 1099 form, tpmeredith1.
If you're referring to the link you use to sign up for a free QuickBooks Self-Employed account, you'll access this link from the email address sent from your employer or client. Normally, you'll receive an email invitation once your employer has filed your form successfully. Once ready, you can find your 1099 from the Forms tab in your Clients menu.

If my contractor needs to resend my 1099-Misc invitation link from 2019, can he still do that in the above shown screenshot, type of example?
Thank you much! Aiden
Thank you MaryJoyD-
My contractor is needing to resend an invitation link for me to view my 1099-Misc form from 2019. Is that possible to still send an invitation link for that? He was looking around in his Quickbooks and didn’t see. He will be looking again at it, but was wondering if you knew ahead of time. Thank you so much!
Hello there, AidenD.
Your contractor can send you a reminder if you're still unable to accept the invitation as shown in the screenshot of my colleague MaryJoyD. If you already have you can just sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed and use the credentials the first time you accepted the invite and follow the steps provided by MariaSoledadG.
Let me know if you have other questions so I can help you with them. Have a good one!
My contractors are also having trouble accessing their 1099s online. The email from Intuit included a link to "set up a free account to view" their 1099, and it takes them to a section where they can either sign-in or register for a new account. Both actions resulted in another email that stated "we couldn't create your account. Your 1099 forms are not available online. You'll still receive a copy of your tax forms in the mail." The next action step was to click on the link for "forgot ID/password." That step did allow the contractor to log in but the initial screen required them to choose a subscription to purchase an account. I've read through all the solutions listed above but my contractors 1. do not have a "resend an invitation" link under their profile 2. their was no "client" tab available once they were able to log-in 3. opening an "icognito window" on a browser did not fix the issue. I've spoken to customer service who directed me to this Q&A section. Can you provide another solution?
I appreciate all the steps you've performed so your contractors can access the 1099 file, @WGDallas.
It looks like your contractor's profile is completely set up, and that's the reason why you're unable to see and send a reminder. That said, you'll have to edit your contractor's profile and get the reminded resent.
To edit your contractor’s profile, please follow these steps:
After clicking the send a reminder option, your contractor will receive an email invitation link. For reference about inviting contractors, see this article: Invite a contractor to add their own 1099 tax info.
Once everything is good, let your contractor click the new link to create a new QuickBooks Self-Employed account. That way, they can enter their W-9 and 1099 information. For more guidelines, visit this article: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Please browse these articles below about the various tasks in tax seasons, map 1099, and other related matters.
