Voucher checks default printing is double sided. How do I permanently correct this so it does not print on the back of the voucher checks?

QuickBooks calls the printer driver, which tells Apple's print dialog what to display.  Double sided is a function of the printer driver.  Unselect it in the print dialog. Normally these settings stick for future use so once unchecked it should stay unchecked.

When you select print, the screen brings up the print menu for you to verify the check number, etc. and the default box is check for printing on both sides. This is in QuickBooks and not a printer option.

WRONG!  I am having the same double sided printing problem.  It just started in the last couple weeks.  Have re-started both the QBKS program and the printer multiple times.  Checked the print settings in all areas, all of which are set to 1 sided printing....yet it still prints double sided EVERY time.  Very frustrating!

Voucher checks default printing is double sided. How do I permanently correct this so it does not print on the back of the voucher checks?

Well the answer was good for two years before it was WRONG! so I'm ok with that.  Sometimes printer settings get saved. When you bring up the print dialog hold down the option key.  Keep it held down after hitting Print in the Print Dialog.  That will wiped out cached settings.  Did that help?

Oh...and this only happens when I'm printing from QBKS.  Very strange.  All other printing works normally.

Ok - this is a QuickBooks Mac forum post. The two have different printing systems. Best to post a new question and indicate it is for QuickBooks Windows.

Sorry....I forgot to say I am running the Windows 7 in a Parallels environment on my Mac.  So wouldn't it still be a Mac printing system?  I automatically go to the Mac forum (habit).

Voucher checks default printing is double sided. How do I permanently correct this so it does not print on the back of the voucher checks?

Its QuickBooks Windows printing on top of Windows printing on top of Parallels emulation of Windows printing on top of the macOS Printing.  But its not QuickBooks Mac printing which is what we know about on this forum. Someone from Windows side may comment here but its better to ask on the Windows side.

Two sided printing is one of the printer driver settings. It should be controllable from the same print dialog - just be sure to hit the disclose triangle and then go through all the menus.

This might help if, like me, you are running QB in Windows in a Parallels Virtual machine:
Start the Windows virtual machine and go to the top menu bar, click on Actions--> Configure--> Hardware--> Share Printer--> please enable the " Show page setup before printing"

I agree. There is no double side printing from within QB Mac.

Voucher checks default printing is double sided. How do I permanently correct this so it does not print on the back of the voucher checks?

Usually it pulls up the print layout and I can 'deselect' the double side option.  Lately, after clicking the print icon, a message pops up and says I have to deselect double sided printing, but freezes my screen.  Only happening in QB, no other programs.  HELP!!!

Voucher checks default printing is double sided. How do I permanently correct this so it does not print on the back of the voucher checks?

We are having the same issue but have a unique set up.

We have a Physical Windows Server and are connecting via a VPN via our Macbooks.

Apple and Windows states they don’t support this and our IT person who configured all this is stumped.

It shows in the printer configuration that it's set to not print 2 sided but when I select the printer - it doesn't give option to even select 1 or 2 sided.
