I know how important it is for you to easily access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account in both the mobile app and the regular browser. That being said, let me guide you in performing some troubleshooting steps to resolve this unexpected login concerns.

 

First, let's make sure to use the correct login link or URL in your web browser. You can use this link: https://selfemployed.intuit.com/login.

 

Next, is to ensure that you're using the right username and password. Make sure to enter the same user name and password that you're using in the app. 

 

Lastly, you can try accessing your account using a private browser or an incognito browser. This way, we can isolate this if it is a browser issue or not. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If it works successfully, you'd want to clear your regular browser's cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBSE. 

 

If you're still unable to login to the correct account, it's possible that you're using the correct username. You can perform the following troubleshooting steps: 

  1. From the sign-in page, select I forgot my user ID or Password.
  2. Enter your phone number or email address and click Continue.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. If you used your email address to verify your account, you'll receive an email with your user ID.
  4. Please check your spam or junk folder f you don't receive an email from us within an hour.
  5. If you don’t have access to the email you used when you created your account, you can request to change it.

Thank you for responding. I have tried to reach out via phone, online, and I have not received a response. 

 

I can long into my account, no problem. QuickBooks won’t allow me to access my information, invoices, etc from an online browser. 

Annoying.

Since you're still not able to access your company data in the browser after performing the troubleshooting method shared by my colleague, I'd recommend you may contact our Customer Support Team using a Test drive. They have the tools to check further why you're getting this issue.

  1. Once you're there, click ? Help and enter your concern,
  2. Input in the box that you need to speak to a human.
  3. Choose how you want to be assisted if it's through messaging or a callback.

Hello did you ever resolve your problem login in? I’m gaveling the same issue I’ve contacted quickbooks and no help. The y send me to apple contacted apple couldn’t help either ? It’s very frustrated I need to log in to my account.

I am also having this issue with Firefox only. I can get in and select the account I want to access, but then it says there was a problem and nothing in that account ever pulls up.

To get rid of this problem, let's perform a few browser troubleshooting solutions to isolate the issue when you can't pull up the account in QBO.

 

I suggest performing the steps through a private/incognito window. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N  
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If you're able to access your account using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative and roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

I've already tried the incognito window and clearing cache etc. It wouldn't be my login info because I can get in fine on Chrome.

Allow me to step in and continue to help you.

 

Since you can sign in using Chrome, we can say that the issue is with your Firefox. You can try to update it. However, if you'll still experience the same thing, please contact our QBSE Support again so they can create a case to investigate this further. They are open on weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and up to 3 PM PT on Saturdays. I suggest contacting them in the morning while the call and chat volumes are low.
