Join nowSales Tax Center page its empty, Related Task don't work. Nothing i click on works and i need to change the general ledger account for sales taxes
I've got your back, @yrivera. I'm here to assist in setting up your sales taxes.
There's an ongoing investigation about the Sales Tax Center displaying an empty page and unresponsive links (INV-93742) which is likely caused by a browser update. First off, I recommend you Contact Support first to add you to the list of affected users. Once the solution is available, you'll receive a notification through email. Secondly, I also recommend using Edge as an alternative browser as a workaround that we can try.
When this works, feel free to check out this as your guide in adjusting your sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online: Manage sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online

This cleared up for me yesterday, so try checking out that page again. If it still doesn't work, try the Edge browser.

Watching--I have had this issue since Oct 1. Tried using Edge today but still had the issue. We paid sales taxes and I now have payments in the bank feed that I cannot process. It would be really nice if there were a link we could go to to see progress on Investigation # INV-93273.
Welcome to the Community, @Jackie87.
I understand the significance of seeing the progress of this investigation about sales tax. Currently, QuickBooks Online doesn't have any specific website or page where customers can view the progress of an investigation.
Once you have reached out to our Customer Care team, you'll be added to the list of affected users and will receive updates via emails or SMS. Rest assured that our Product Engineering team is actively investigating and resolving this issue.

Is there still not a resolution for this issue? Us business owners have not been able to document our sales tax payments for 3 months now. 2024 is days away. I have contacted customer support but have not received any emails with an update on this investigation.
I appreciate your response, @dixiedoor4277.
I wish you didn't have to go through so many hurdles when finding a possible solution for your Sales Taxes.
As provided by my colleague above, the status of INV-93742 has been fixed. Before contacting our support team, I recommend to perform some troubleshooting steps to help us determine if this is a browser-related issue. Too much historical data from the browser causes discrepancies that affect the view and performance of your QuickBooks.
Depending on your browser, you can use either of these keyboard shortcuts to open an incognito window:
If it works, you can return to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh and check your sales tax. You can also use another supported, up-to-date browser to narrow down the results.
If the sales tax page still shows empty after trying out these steps, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Support Team. I understand you've already contacted them, but they have the tools to check this issue further and find a possible fix.
If you have any further questions about your Sales Taxes, please reply to us below, and we'll respond as soon as possible. Take care!
Greetings, we continue to experience multiple significant issues with the sales tax center. I have not learned of a workaround for recording and viewing Sales Tax Owed in the Sales Tax Center. Many of you may have already discovered the following workaround to calculate sales taxes accurately in the Sales by Customer Detail Report. The system seems to calculate sales tax accurately for Sales Receipts but not for Invoices. If one is able to use sales receipts, then at least the sales tax owed report will be accurate. I have not been able to use the workaround 100% as sales receipts are not compatible with transactions that allow for deposits or partial payments. In those cases, I have had to carefully review each invoiced sale in the Sales by Customer Detail Report to recalculate the sales taxes separately. It has been thwarting and burdensome.
We recognize how careful you are in looking for a workaround to fix the issue in your Sales tax center by manually recalculating them separately, @smittysauto10.
Let me share insights and route you to the best possible help.
The investigation of the issue in the sales tax center was marked as closed. With that in mind, I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Care Team to review your account and pinpoint the root cause of it.
On top of that, if they see that this is also occurring to several users, they can create a new investigation into this issue.
If you want to adjust and delete your sales tax payments, you can read this article: Manage sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online.
For additional questions about managing your sales tax center, never hesitate to reply to this post. I'll be willing to lend a hand.
Why would Quickbooks mark something as "closed" when it has not been resolved?
I was told a new investigation was opened because so many of us are still having an issue and it was never resolved on our end. Is this not true? I have an email from QuickBooks stating this was accurate. It is now 2024 and our business has not been able to record any Sales Tax payments since September of 2023. We cannot even accurately submit our P&L to our CPA to get taxes filed for the year. This issue needs to be escalated.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing. I hear ya. We are currently taking measures outside of Quickbooks to resolve the issues. All the best to you in 2024.
I understand the challenges you're facing and the urgency of getting it fixed quickly, @dixiedoor4277.
Since QuickBooks has informed you that a new investigation has been opened, it's important to follow up with them to get timely updates. Thus, I recommend reaching out to QuickBooks support again, referencing the email you received regarding the new investigation.
