As of 7:30 am EST 01/05/24 Intuit still has NOT RESOLVED the program issue. I pulled payroll update and it still shows version 22401. Still get the same error message when trying to file Virginia's 4th quarter 2023 VEC-FC-20.
As of 8:55am the issue is still NOT resolved. I've filed every other end of year/quarter form with zero issues. So crazy that such a large company with so many software engineers cannot figure this out after DAYS of people complaining. I reset all my updates and reinstalled this morning with no luck. Now, we wait.....
I've been running QB and payroll updates as suggested - not fixed as of 11 am this morning. I also have been running the QB Tool Hub (latest version 1.6.0.3) "Program Problems". This did not find any issues either.
The issue is still not resolved! Just attempted to file again and received the same rejection.
I see the importance of filing your taxes on time, @jenmcrane and @BradleyH.
Currently, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-97472) into the Virginia Unemployment Insurance form being rejected in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) when attempting to e-file. Rest assured that our engineers are prioritizing this issue to provide a resolution at the earliest time possible.
For now, we're unable to provide a specific date for when this will be resolved. However, I recommend getting in touch with our customer support team so they can add you to the list of impacted users. Doing so allows you to receive email notifications when new updates about the investigation are made available. To do that:
Moreover, viewing your payroll totals in QBDT is a breeze when you generate reports. They contain the necessary information for filing payroll taxes with the government, such as employee wages and contributions.
Feel free to return to this thread to express your concerns about filing your taxes in QBDT. It's always our priority to assist you. Take care.
Same issue here. Just upgraded the payroll version.
I will wait until 1/15 and then manually upload the form on www.webupload.tax.virginia.gov
I am actually thinking to say goodbye to QB and QB Payroll now their desktop editions are being terminated.
Yes, same problem here. I have spent quite a bit of time with tech support on 1/2/24 and also today 1/5/24. They say they are aware of the issue and will notify me when it is fixed. Now I am also having issues with my 941 4th quarter report. I got a confirmation that it was sent to Intuit on 1/2/24 but it's stuck there, it has not been sent to the tax agency.
Same here mrsd333. I was thinking they just haven't finished processing yet. You can check the trail on it, it says submitted to Intuit, next step is Intuit submitting to agency, then agency accepts it.
Same here mrsd333
Still not fixed.... I have over 300 clients that we file for and we need this fix quickly
Please fix quickly, I have over 300 clients that must be have VA unemployment filed.
I just checked my 941 and 940 and both are also stuck at Intuit. Very concerning this year! Everyone check the status of your efilings.
I haven't tried filing the 940 yet @TiredofTimecards as I haven't even started annuals yet. I like to get quarterlies out of the way first. Good to know, thanks for the info.
Hello there, @mrsd333. Let me help you further with your concerns here in the thread.
We appreciate you for contacting our support team. Now you're listed as one of the affected users, we'll notify you once the issue is fixed. Regarding your 941 4th quarter report, since it is already in Intuit, I recommend contacting our support team again to help you track your 941 4th quarter form. They have the necessary expertise and tools to assist you effectively.
Moreover, scanning this article would benefit you when it comes to reviewing the status of your payment from payroll: Check the status of your payroll tax payments or filings sent through QuickBooks Payroll.
Come back here for more queries about payroll tax inside QBDT. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
Getting a little frustrated. Followed the steps above to get on the notification list and the first chat person quickly linked me to a different chat line and exited the chat. The next chat person joined the chat and immediately left the chat. The third person joined the chat 15 minutes ago and has not reached out to me after I’ve repeatedly tried to see if they are actually there. Ending this chat. VERY frustrated and concerned about my Year End payroll filings this year. The 941 and 940 efilings have not been submitted to the IRS yet. Not a good feeling.
I would like to interject here, KayPe, that you are basically saying the same "text book" message as previous "QuickBooks Team" members have posted. We don't need to hear the same thing over and over. We just need updates on the time line of the problem being fixed.
I would like to interject here, KayPe, that you are posting the same "text book" message as other "QuickBooks Team" members have done previously. We don't need to have all that posted over and over again. Everyone already knows those procedures. We (Intuit paying customers) just need to be given updates on the time line of this program problem being resolved.
My thoughts exactly! The repeated cut and paste responses aren't solving the problem.
My thoughts exactly! The repeated cut and paste responses are quite tiresome and not solving the problem.
I have upgraded to latest version of desk pro 24 and updated payroll to latest and still not able to file.
Need you to fix this.
Hello, ydcho71. I appreciate you upgrading your QuickBooks to the latest version and performing payroll updates.
As previously stated, we are currently investigating the issue of e-filing. Rest assured that our team is actively working to determine the root cause of this problem.
I still suggest contacting our Support Team to have your company details added to the list of affected users. You can follow the steps provided above. We'll provide further updates once information is available.
Additionally, you'll want to run any payroll report available in QuickBooks Desktop that you can use. You can generate Excel-based payroll reports from the system.
Comment below if you have further concerns. I'm here whenever you need assistance.
Same here. I cannot file this report on the VEC website as the company I am filing for has over a hundred employees! They will not like the bill they would receive for me to do this laborious work. I've updated my clients' QuickBooks and they are on the latest update.
The system error is FIXED. I was able to file my Virginia Unemployment for the 4th Qtr 2023 as of 1/6/2024 @ 10 am EST. I updated the entire program. I am so happy
It is working now as Zonnie0301 noted . Thanks for getting this fixed in reasonable time.
QB support needs to be more proactive and recognize the issues and fix the issue. It does not help when you guys go through and waste customers time with irrelevant updates and try to tell me that the State of Virginia may have changed dates... when it the issue is at QB. Also, when the tax is due at end of the month, QB representative can't tell me it is going to take 2 -3 weeks to get this fixed.
Yes, I also was able to file the Va Unemployment on Saturday.
High Fives and a big THANK YOU to the tech/programmer that knew what he was doing, found the problem, and fixed it.
Ydcho71, I agree with you whole heartly on what you said about QB.
