I can't sign in to change the verification steps because I can't get a text message with the code that allows me to sign in.

I appreciate both of you for bringing this to our attention.

The two-two-factor authentication is an additional layer that strengthens the security of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. If this feature doesn't work for your business, then you have the option to turn it off.

Here's what you'll need to do if you're using the same phone number:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Tap Sign In & Security from the left menu.
  3. In the β€œTwo-step verification” section, hit Turn off.
  4. Enter the code.
  5. Select Continue.

If you're using a different phone number, you'll need first to update your phone number so you can log in to the account. Once done, you can now turn off the two-step verification.

For more information about this process, take a look at this article: Turn on or turn off two-step verification.
