Thanks for reaching out here in the Community for support, @Addy4. I'm here to ensure you can match downloaded transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

There are few factors why the program didn't auto-recognize any possible matches, although you've already used the Find Match tool. These are due to the following: 

 

  • The existing entry was manually cleared in the register. 
  • The amount in QBO is different from the downloaded transaction. 
  • The transaction type is different. 
  • The transaction is older than 180 days. 
  • The existing entry was recorded in a different bank account. 

 

To resolve this, let's go to your register to check if the existing entry was already cleared in QBO. From there, review if it has the same amount, transaction type, and date range with the downloaded transaction. 

 

Let me show you how: 

 

  1. On your QBO account, select Accounting.
  2. Go to the Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Locate the bank account for review.
  4. Click View register from the Action column. 
  5. Click the Filter icon. 
  6. Choose the same Transaction Type with your downloaded one. 
  7. Select Apply
  8. Locate the existing entry and make sure its status is not cleared "C" in the Reconciliation column. If necessary, click the box to make the field blank.
  9. Compare the amount, date, and transaction type with the downloaded entry. If necessary, change the details to match its info. 

 

Once done, ensure the existing entry is associated with the correct bank account by manually opening the transaction from the Sales or Expenses menu. Then, go back to the For Review tab and refresh the page to check if the downloaded transaction is now showing a suggested match in the program.
