Thanks for chiming into this thread, @kamg. I understand how frustrating technical problems can be, especially when they interrupt important updates. I assure you I'm here to help you resolve this problem efficiently.

To start, I'd like to gather more information about what happened. Could you specify if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? May I also know where you updated your QuickBooks account and which section you've seen the error message? Any additional context you can offer will give me a better understanding of the issue and find the best solution for you.

In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to identify what went wrong and get you back on track. Sometimes, stored cache files can cause interruptions within the program when working with your QuickBooks tasks.

You can access your QBO account in a private browser to ensure the program runs seamlessly without storing cached data. You can accomplish this by utilizing these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If everything works smoothly and your account can be updated, return to your original browser and clear its cache so the system can start fresh. Also, using a different supported browser can help us dig deep into the root cause of this unexpected behavior.

On the other hand, if you're using QBDT, I'd suggest installing and using the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This utility tool is designed to resolve a wide array of program and file-related issues that could be causing the hours to round off when importing in QuickBooks.

Here's how to use the Tool Hub:

  1. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.8) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe). You can look it up in your Downloads folder or the location you selected when you downloaded it.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
  5. Once opened, look for Company File Issues or Program Problems, then select Quick Fix my Program.

For more solutions and potential causes of unexpected behavior in QBDT, I'll include this article: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

I highly appreciate your patience and for bringing this to our attention, @kamg. Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to help you with. Your experience is significant to us, and I'm here to ensure we get this sorted out to your satisfaction.
