I don't understand the latter part of your message, I don't want to take data to QBO but rather have an archive in QBD.

After bringing the data down to QBD, condensing it won't fix the fact that transactions are missing - balances in the COA accounts will still be wrong.

I was just recommended to use an app called ExportMyBooks.  gets rave reviews. Problem is, to do this year and last year costs $200 and $45 for every add'l year.  But i guess for my client, it's cheaper than my time.

Of course I suppose I could just condense what I have for the last 2 years and see if that will be good enough for him.  I think I'll give that a try.
