Hello, I am trying to figured out how to send my quickbooks self employed info into turbo tax. Specially my 2020 Schedule C information so I don't have to type out all of deductions. I tried "tax checklist" export into turbo tax and when it shoots me over to Turbo Tax it doesn't show ANY of the info in the income section. I have called support twice now, quickbooks folks tell me talk to turbo tax and the turbotax people don't seem to know how to help either. I was told by the first turbo tax support person and I needed to download and buy turbo tax home business 2020 but that didn't seem to help. I only have one intuit account and I have been using turbotax for a few years.
As far as I know I have tried all the guides in the support documents, I am at a loss. I am wondering if anyone is whiling to help me or look at my account and see if there is anything on the back end I am doing wrong. Or is there anyway I can export the data from QBSE into Turbo Tax. I am whiling to try anything at this point.
Thanks for any help.
Glad to see you here in the Community, @maxcaven.
Let's review your Schedule C to check if you have any data from there.
You can look for Schedule C by entering the jump to Schedule C in the search bar. From there, if you encounter a message stating there’s a bit more information we need to gather about your income, this is required to complete the Schedule C portion of your taxes.
However, if you don't see the message, you may need to trigger the message again. Here's how:
1. Sign-out of TurboTax completely using the Sign Out option in the lower right of the screen.
2. Log in to QuickBooks Self-Employed via incognito browser and run through the export process again. This will not export a duplicate set of data.
If you can't still see your data, I highly suggest reaching out to our Phone Support Team. This way, they can check on your account in a secure environment and help you with your data.
I'm adding this article for more details: My QuickBooks Self-Employed data didn't show up in TurboTax Self-Employed.
To learn more about sending your info to TurboTax if you have different login info, check out this article: Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax data to TurboTax Self-Employed using different sign-in info.
