Yes, you can still get a free license for QuickBooks. All you have to do is re-register and complete the form. Once your student status is verified, you'll get the license and start using your account.

I am a university student.  When my 1 year free Quickbooks license expires, can I get it renewed?  What are my options?  Thank you.

It can be renewed. 

When the license gets expired, you'll have to register again and complete the given form. Once your status gets verified, you'll get another license to start using your QuickBooks account.

I ran into issues once I had sent invites to all of my classes of students, then I had those who were absent to set up the next day and some could not create accounts. I am having them try your suggestions and in the meantime I am also submitting the form for licensing. I keep getting prompted to finish my set up as well. If I get sent a code and license for my students where will I have them put that? Will they have to go through the set up process again? I skipped two steps in their set up and now want to go back and make sure they have things in their dashboard on the left of their free online accounts such as invoicing and expenses. How can I get back to that with them?

Since you stated that you needed to know where the students will input the license information, I wanted to clarify if you were using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop for your students? If using QuickBooks Desktop, you will go through a slightly different process than you would with QuickBooks Online. I've gone ahead and shared those steps below for QuickBooks Desktop in case that is the product you're using.

1. Visit the Intuit Education Program website.
2. Select Register.
3. Under Choose your software, Choose Looking for QuickBooks Desktop.
4. Click on Students, then fill out the registration form.
5. Select Verify and Continue, then the Welcome to Intuit Education page displays.

Please note: If the Welcome page doesn't display, continue to the Verification process. Otherwise, you can skip to the Activate QuickBooks Desktop student trial process.

I'll help you get a student trial of QuickBooks Online.

Once you sign up for the Intuit Education program, both the educators and students should complete the form to confirm eligibility and unlock the free license for QuickBooks Online.

To register, simply go to the Intuit Education website and select Register. Look for the Empower your students with QuickBooks section and click Sign up for free. 

Fill out the registration form and select Verify and Continue. To verify your eligibility, You'll need to provide an official document from your school with the following info:

• Your full and legal name that matches the one you entered in the registration form
• Your school name
• A date within the last 3 months

Examples of acceptable documents are a class schedule, transcript, or tuition receipt. Intuit works with Sheer ID to verify students. 

Here's what to do to submit your data:

1. Get an electronic copy of the official document. Acceptable formats are .jpg, .pdf, .png, .bmp, or .gif. Tip: If you have a paper copy, you can take a high-quality photo of it with your phone.
2. Select Choose File to find and select the document. Then select Submit for review.

You'll see a confirmation message when the upload finishes. You'll be contacted via email in less than 20 minutes with details regarding your verification request. 

Once done, check your email for a message from Intuit Verification (Verify@SheerID.com). Then, select the link under Get Started to open a page in your web browser.

If you already have an Intuit account (such as for TurboTax), select Sign in at the bottom of the page. If you don't, enter the info for your new Intuit account, then select Create Account.

On the other hand, if you wish to get the free access to QuickBooks Desktop, just click on Looking for QuickBooks Desktop?, in this link: Empower your students with free QuickBooks.

Thank you it got me a step closer but there is no student option it just for educators I've tried everything the only option to switch to students I's for desktop

You can get a free license for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Student Registration by opening this link: https://www.intuit.com/ca/partners/education-program/registration/student-quickbooks-online/. From there, fill out all the fields needed. Then, click on the Verify and continue button.

Once done, you're now ready to explore and track your entries in QBO.

I'd be pleased to share some information regarding the QuickBooks trial for students.

We are no longer offering QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) student trials and QuickBooks Online (QBO). I suggest utilizing our QBO trial version which is good for 30 days. If you wish to continue using it, you can subscribe anytime. Just enter a valid credit card for authorization to achieve that. Then, you'll be charged the current fee for the services you've selected.  

Then, to subscribe to the program, you'll just have to click the Subscribe button. Enter your credit card information and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. We can also click the Subscribe now link at the top of your Home page. You can also get in touch with our QuickBooks Sales Team. They can check if there are any available discounts for QuickBooks Online and discuss the prices privately. You'll first have to review our support hours to ensure they can assist you on time.

However, if you don't want to subscribe to the QBO account, you can create another trial account. Just a heads up, that you need to re-enter the transaction or export and import the transaction from the old to a new trial account.

Additionally, you can use a test drive of QuickBooks Online by using our sample company demo so that you can explore features and the options that you're not comfortable trying in a live QuickBooks account. Similar to your Inuit Education Program with free or reduced rate services to teachers and students, it would be great if the same program could be applied to mental health professionals.  These clinicians are bearing the weight of our country's mental health crisis and are completely capped in their earning potential by the insurance companies which haven't raised their rates in decades despite inflation.  Their earnings are substantially lower compared to medical professionals with similar education and training and they have to pay for all of their business fees, medical benefits, and retirement savings out of pocket.  Plus there is no sick leave or PTO.  More programs like this would benefit these vital workers as they continue to service others.

I have tried several times and each time, it says my school is not found, however when I search the name it says it is available. Can someone please figure out this glitch!!!!

Same issues here!! Can someone please help me get setup with a Student QBO account, today? I am concerned and to be honest, the navigation and resources on your help form and website need to be updated ti align with the success of being exactly as the resources say it should be - which they're not.

If your school is an accredited US educational institution, you can register for a student trial of QuickBooks Online Plus. Here's how:

1. Go to the Intuit Education website and tap Register.
2. Under QuickBooks Online, choose Students.
3. Fill out the registration form and click Verify and Continue.

Then, you'll need to verify your eligibility by providing official documents from your school with the following info:

• Your full and legal name that matches the one you entered in the registration form
• Your school name
• A date within the last three months

Get an electronic copy of the official document and click Choose File to find and select the document (acceptable formats are .jpg, .pdf, .png, .bmp, or .gif) and tap Submit for review. After that, you can follow the Step 3 of this article to activate your student trial: Register and activate a QuickBooks Online student trial.

There is no such thing, by clicking on link it take us to the intuit page but under US it gives offer just for Educators not Students! if you choose the country as Canada it gives you the student or teacher option right away ! Now question is this , is there a free educational QuickBooks for students in USA ? 

There is no student version , it offers just for educators ! Free version for students is under Canada version only , now question is this : is there any free version for educational purposes for USA students ? funny thing is that I was on phone with customer service for more than 2 hours and they keep repeating the wrong information over and over again and then they say we don't know, such unorganized company !

I am a student and need this QuickBook software to try my hands on.
