Hi there, melissa-bernard.
Good to see you here in the Community. I'm by no means an accounting professional, but I do have some insight and resources to provide that can help get you on the right track.
Just to clarify, are you using QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA)? If so, then you could use the exclusive feature in QBOA to undo reconciliations without editing the transactions manually in the register. The steps below will guide you through the process:
For additional insight about this process, I recommend following this article: Undo a reconciliation
Once you're done, you can reconcile the account again so you can update the Reconciliation report.
That should do it. Please keep in touch if you need more help with this, I want to make sure this is taken care of. Wishing you all the best!
Do I have to undo and re-do a reconciliation to correct a change that was made after the reconciliation? Or can I just correct the change?
Pleased to have you here, @saplingsjoy
Let me help you correct the changes in your transaction.
We need to redo the reconciliation in order for you to fix the changes in your transaction but first, remove the Rs in the register to unreconcile them.

After we finish the changes we can now redo the reconciliation:
You can now start comparing to ensure that the information in QuickBooks Online matches the information on your bank credit card statement.

Hello there, moojustheffs.
I appreciate you for following the solution provided by my peer and letting us know the result. Let me point you in the right direction to resolve your reconciliation concern.
Before proceeding, allow me to share some information on why you’re unable to see the Undo option. The steps shared by @AldrinS only apply to the accountant version.
If you’re using QBOA, we’ll run the browser troubleshooting to get the Undo button to show up. First, open QBO via incognito mode or private browsing to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue.
The process will vary depending on the browser you’re using. Here’s how to bring up one.
From there, go back to the History by account page and click the drop-down under the Action column to see the Undo option. If this works, clear the cache of the regular browser.
This process will help the applications to run better on your computer. Otherwise, utilize a supported browser to check if the one you’re using is the issue.
For QBO users (Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus), you’ll have to manually edit each transaction to undo the reconciliation. I’m adding an article that will guide you through the steps: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
After performing the process, you can now reconcile the account. To help you in the future, I’m adding some links that will guide you on how to resolve any reconciliation issues.
Feel free to hit the Reply button if you have additional questions or concerns. I’m more than happy to assist further. Take care and have a good one.
