Same here. Submitted to Intuit on January 2. Still shows just "submitted to Intuit for processing". Not sent to agency or accepted. It NEVER takes a week. This is for the Federal 940 and 941. State went through as normal. Not sure what to do???
I understand the urgency of having to file the forms rapidly, HillaryW.
When the form filing's status is Transmitted, we already sent the form to the agency. The IRS handles forms within a couple of weeks.
To trace the filing status, I suggest reaching out to our phone support team. Here's how:
Furthermore, you can check this link on how you can check the status of your tax payment: Check the status of your payroll tax payment.
Keep me posted whenever you have concerns about filing forms.
I am having the same issue. Mine says for 2 days now Sent to intuit for processing.
Mine for 2 days has said "Sent to intuit for processing"
Very frustrated.
Mine has been since 12/22.
Beyond frustrated & no fix from QB. They say their end shows it was accepted.
I pay a huge monthly fee to use this software & am really irritated with support!!!!!!!
It has NEVER taken more than 10 minutes for it to update that the agency received the form.
I have called support & spent over 7 hours on the phone (span of 7 calls) & have NOT gotten it fixed!!!!!!!
Yes, I have the same problem.
I am having the same issue. Tech support is a joke. But for what we pay they will be issuing some kind of billing credit.

My 3rd and 4th quarter federal 941 was rejected.. but qb says its accepted on their end. Has anyone had any solutions to this? I did not have a problem with my 10 digit pin UNTIL i updated quickbooks.
I understand how challenging it can be when your tax forms are rejected, especially when you have ensured everything is in order, amandak0305.
Before anything else, please know that the Accepted status means that the agency has received and accepted the form. It doesn't imply that the IRS has approved them.
To check the filing statuses, refer to this article: Check the status of your payroll tax payments or filings sent through QuickBooks Payroll.
Moreover, you've mentioned a 10-digit PIN. Are you perhaps using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll? If so, updating your tax tables and ensuring the correct E-file PIN is set is essential.
If your tax table is updated and the PIN is correct, I recommend contacting our payroll support team to check the cause of the rejection.

YES! I received notice from Oregon that our 1st quarter 2024 payroll report was not filed. I have called QB twice and still not filed. They keep telling me that has been done. Yet I received a second notice from Oregon employment department with fines for not filing.
Can anyone help me???????
Thanks for getting involved with this thread, c_banchero. I appreciate your detailed information.
Since you've been advised by Intuit that your quarterly report was filed successfully, but the Oregon Employment Department is saying it hasn't been filed with them, I'd recommend getting back in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss this further. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment and conduct further research with you.
They can be reached while you're signed in.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a lovely Wednesday!
I have only e-filed the Form 941 twice for a new client and each time I received the same message:"Our records indicate that an electronically filed return has already been submitted and accepted for this EIN, quarter ending period, and return type". This is definitely not possible because I am the only person who could file the 941. First time I just mailed it in because I very busy catching up from tax season, but this time I want to get this issue resolved. What contact number do I call at the IRS or from error message, do you know how to fix this issue? Please advise. Thank you.
Completely frustrated with Intuit Assisted Payroll. They have handled our payroll for over 10 years. They missed ONE weekly tax deposit and are saying we did not have their service during that time. Thats completely insane as they filed late but still filed. With Assisted payroll you have NO Way to write or efile .. It falls soley on Intuit. Its amazing how they make a SERIOUS MISTAKE and it is all of a sudden NOT their problem.
I guess they are getting Too Big and Charging TOO many fees to keep up with their responsibilities.
Anyone have luck with an address or point of contact to provide a lawyer.
I have done all this and it won't let me submit the form. It keeps saying I need to update payroll and I have done this. What should I do net?
I appreciate the time and effort you exerted to help fix this issue, Bearcreek. Let's ensure you get the best support available and stay back in business seamlessly.
