I had the same result. Intuit migration support told me that the Quickbooks Desktop Migration Tool has not been maintained since 2021 and would not work any more. I've wasted a lot of my clietn's time by trying to do this according to Intuit's instructions. Migration Support pointed me at a third-party to do the conversion. They're a bit pricy and my client is a non-profit.
Hello @Kurt_M . It appears that you may know of a way to make this migration from Online to Enterprise 2024 work. I just got off the phone with Migration Support and they told me that the Quickbooks. Desktop Migration Tool hasn't been maintained since 2021 and that failure is expected even though Intuit has articles online that indicate that it should work. I am getting a dialog indicating an Internal Error with the numbers 1009 at the upper left. When the resulting file is then opened in QB Enterprise it has no banking information, no customers, no vendors, no chart of accounts, no item list, and is basically empty.
You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for assistance. They can help to convert your data with a cheaper option.

Hello @MariaSoledadG I did follow all of those steps to no avail. I sopke with several people at Intuit support and was eventually passed on to Migration Support. They told me that the Migration Tool has not been maintained since 2021 and that it was unlikely to work at all with QB Enterprise 2024. I did find a work-around, but one that takes some time: Use the tool to migrate to QB Desktop Premier 2021. I then backed up the file and am now upgrading to Enterprise, then will upgrade to 2024 so that my client can use the data.
