I know how to edit your business name in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @vhinds.
The business name in QBSE depends on the personal information you've entered into the system. Please ensure to select the Personal info tab instead. This way, you can modify your business details in the Name section.

Doesnt work i can find no option to change the business name only the person name First and Last

The option to set or change a business name in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is currently unavailable.
The business name of your QBSE account depends on the details you've entered in your Personal info tab. If you want to change your account name, you'll want to change it in the Name section.

How can this be "unavailable"? This results in very unprofessional looking invoices with "User Name's Company" in the "from" section. This is a basic feature that any invoicing package should include...especially one made by a billion dollar company that costs several hundred dollars per year.

My cash card still show my old business and the statements show old business name. please advise on how to get a new cash card with new business name and statements show new business name

I was having the same issue and followed this thread to the solution. My unsolicited opinion? This is just a UX error, or poor UX decision. Placing the "edit work info" link in a more prominent position would help, but really you want to move that link to the "preview" page, as this is likely where the user first notices (and is unhappy with) "FirstName LastName's Company." Or have it in both locations. Hope this helps.
