I think it is worse than "Intuit doesn't care" when we attempt to report suspicious activities. Why is it with the 8 different e-mail accounts (some business, some personal) that the ONLY scam e-mails trying to phish, scam, eheat, etc., that I receive are in the e-mail account that I have linked to my Intuit account.  How is it that the 7 other e-mails accounts do not receive the scam/Intuit e-mails. The answer is, of course, obvious. Either Intuit was hacked and our information was stolen (and they are not providing the required notices, protections, etc.) or Intuit sold our information to dicey folks who are using the information or have sold it to criminals.

I understand the importance of protecting your account from phishing and malicious emails. 

I confirm that first name_ last name@ intuit.com is indeed an agent's Intuit email address. We have our escalations team who will personally reach out to customers with open cases that only they can resolve. 

As long as the email received from @intuit.com doesn't have any extra characters and spaces, it's legit. You also want to read this link to learn more about how to protect yourself from security risks: Recognize and report suspicious emails (Phishing). 

To ensure your data is well protected, I'd recommend reporting this to our security team. I'll show you how:
 

1. Go to the Online Security Center page.
2. Click Contact US.
3. Look for Report fake email (or phishing email) and then click on it.

Are customers aware that there may be an email hidden under the display email?   They would be able to see the functional email by right clicking on the displayed email and opening properties. 

The "CONTACT US" button is totally inactive today, in a test.

When a browser stored a lot of caches, it could cause problems like latency issues. As an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

If you're still getting the same result, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps. We can use these shortcut keys depending on the browser you're using:

• Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
• Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
• Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

Open the test drive and Contact Us from there. If it rectifies the issue, go back to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history or we can press CTRL+Shift and Delete key on your keyboard altogether. We may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

Clicking on the "Report a fake email (or phishing)" button on https://security.intuit.com/contact-us as advised does not lead me to information on how to report such email. It throws up a box requiring me to set up an account on an email system. (See attached screenshot.) I've tried unsuccessfully to complete that process with my Yahoo email address, so I cannot access the guidance I need. Please just tell me how to report phishing rather than putting an insurmountable barrier in my way. Thank you.

   I do hope Intuit will simplify matters for all users by just sharing that reporting address directly rather than making us jump through hoops to access it.

   I will follow up with the Customer Care Team when they are back in the office on Monday. The apparent phishing email came from an address ending in @intuit.com, which should be legit according to the article you cited, so the matter does bear further investigation.

Thanks again, Kevin C., but as soon as I got done thanking you for your help, I found that the email I had sent to [email address removed] as you directed bounced as undeliverable. See the attached screenshot. What is the correct reporting address, please?

Thanks for trying, but unfortunately none of that is helpful. You have directed me to the very link which throws up the Windows email app registration process which I am unable to successfully complete, as I described above. That is the very barrier that prompted me to post my question here.

   Since you suggested it, I did visit the privacy settings page. I saw nothing there to help with phishing emails, but while I was there, my attempt to set my marketing preferences led to a dead end.  Please see screenshot. Did that happen because I'm in the UK at the moment, or was it yet another example of poorly designed systems at Intuit?

   If Intuit is serious about the abuse of their name and the abuse of their customers, they should provide an easy and direct way to report phishing emails, as many other companies do. I've now spent hours on what should have been a straightforward process. It shouldn't be this hard.

   That said, do you have any other suggestions on how to report a phishing email? Thanks again for trying to help.

Thanks yet again, but that is yet another dead end route. I am an Intuit customer, but my product is Turbotax, not Quickbooks, so I cannot log in as you directed. See screenshot below. Any other ideas on how to report a phishing email? This is getting old, and I am close to giving up.

They have the tools to verify and determine if it's a possible phishing email that needs to be forwarded to a security team for further assessment.

Why not just say "forward it to [email address removed]" instead of giving us 3 steps to find this email address?

This link does not work. IT asks you to log in to Intuit products, like QBO, but does not ever get to a "Security Centre" location. Any better ideas?
