If i am locked out of my account?

I'm here to help you access your account back again, primaryelectric1.

We available tools that can be used in resetting your password and regain access to your account. Let's first sort it out by following the steps below. Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop on your computer. Then, click the I forgot my password link at the login window
  2. Fill out the needed information. One of these is the license number. You can press F2 from the login window to see your license number.
  3. The NameEmail Address, Phone Number, and ZIP code you originally used when you purchased the product. You can log in to CAMPS to find all these requirements.
  4. Once everything is done, click OK. You'll receive a code at the email address you registered in QuickBooks.
  5. Afterward, get the code from your email and enter it in book. It'll guide us through the process of creating the new password.

Aside from that, you can also use the Automated Password Reset Tool for QuickBooks Desktop. In this process, we will need to go to this link and download the version of the product that you're using. For the detailed steps and information on how to do it, please consider checking this article:Accessing your company file by using the Automated Password Reset Tool for QBDT.

Please keep me posted on how it goes. I want to make sure that you're good to go after following those steps.I hope you're well and safe!

If i am locked out of my account?

I had an update to Quickbooks this morning and when I went to use it I could not login.  Since then I tried to reset my password and now I am completely locked out.  How can I get it unlocked so I can send out my invoices that have to go out today?

If i am locked out of my account?

Hello, jkube.

I would suggest resetting your admin password to see if that lets you into your account. Below is a link to a YouTube video on the process.

If i am locked out of my account?

I had an update install this morning and I can't get in to my desktop version.  I tried a reset and this is what I get now.

User Name:Admin Then current password, new password, confirm new password , etc.

I can't get  pass this page.  Admin is not my user name, but I can't change it this popup.  This makes me crazy  it was fine last use and now i have a ton of invoices that have to go out today and I can't get to them.

Thank you for getting back to us here on the Community page, @jkube.

If you're not an admin user, your QuickBooks admin can help reset your password for you. You may contact your admin and have them follow these steps:

  1. Sign in as the admin user.
  2. Go to Company, select Set Up Users and Passwords. Then select Set Up Users.
  3. If prompted, enter the admin password again.
  4. In the User List, select the user that needs to change their password. Then select Edit User.
  5. Enter a new password.
  6. Select Next twice, then select Finish.

If the problem continues, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team to help you reset the password securely.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help. Have a good day!
