My quickbook app is not letting me open multiple tabs (as it did on Friday). It keeps asking me to log in again and then starts with the dashboard tab again

It looks like you're working on our QuickBooks Online Desktop app, Jokamitsu. Let's get this fixed.

I've checked our records and haven't seen any cases similar to yours. We'll have to reset the app's data. This way, we can fix this unexpected behavior. Here's how:

  1. Click Help.
  2. Select Reset App Data

Let me also add this article to help you know more about the app: QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support.

Feel free to let us know if you need more help with this. We're just one comment away. Take care!

I don’t see an option to “reset app data” when I click on Help

By the way I’m running the desktop app on my Mac.

Hello, x703jko.

I'll help you locate the Reset App Data option from the app itself.

The Help menu that Kristine Mae is referring to is located on the app's toolbar. I'll include a screenshot to show where you can find it:

Are you also experiencing the same issue as jokamitsu? If that's the case, another thing you can do is to uninstall and reinstall the app:

  1. Drag the QuickBooks app from the Applications folder to the Trash icon.
  2. Go to Finder.
  3. Choose Empty Trash.

For more details about the app, you can open this article: QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support

After fixing the issue, you can start working on the Desktop app again. Looking for guides to help you with the processes? We have articles to assist you and point you to the right direction. Check them out in the general articles list page

I'm still with you if you have other questions with QuickBooks Online or the app. Just reply here and I'll reply as soon as possible.

Don't buy the solution. It's all baloney. They just want to scrimp a few bucks not supporting an app than more people use than they will admit.
