I am so frustrated. I've been paying QB since Nov 2021 for self-employed and was advised by an accountant to upgrade my account to Online in Aug 2021. My first quarter and second quarter had already been looked at by my accountant and categorized. I finally had the chance to sit down to reconcile everything from the last two quarters and to my surprise EVERYTHING from Jan 2021 - July 2021 is GONE!!! I am a realtor so all the miles I documented for traveling are GONE! All my commissions paid to me before August are GONE! I need to send out 1099 forms but all that information is now GONE! I paid all last year for services why would 7 months worth of transactions disappear? I need this fixed ASAP
I can see how the issue greatly impacts your business, @jassimone.
Let me make it up to you in the QuickBooks Community page. I'll help you bring back your missing data so you can submit the 1099 forms.
It could be that some of your data aren't successfully transferred during the migration process. This can be the reason why your 7 months' worth of transactions isn't showing in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Let me share with you some steps on how to move the missing files into QBO. To start, by download your transactions in a CSV file and upload them into QBO. Here's how:
You can also use a third-party app like Transaction Pro and Excel Importer to import them into QuickBooks Online.
If you have missing banking transactions, you can also upload them in QBO. Let me show you how:
Once your transactions are in QBO, go to the Banking menu, then select Banking. Follow the steps to review and categorize your transactions.
Please reach back out to me with any additional information on migrating data in QBO. I'll be right to help.
I no longer have Quickbooks Self Employed I have Quickbooks Online now. The directions you gave do not work it doesn't show any transactions prior to August 2021.
I appreciate you for doing the steps provided by my colleague above and for getting back to this thread, @jassimone.
In uploading your data to QuickBooks Online, let's ensure that the file is supported. Aside from that, check the formatting and the date range you use when setting up the process.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our support team. They have the tools to check your account in a safe environment, and they can help find the root cause of your issue and find a fix.
