Why is my account expired?

I bought turbotax last year, and I should have a subscription to QuickBooks self employed until 4/30/21. When I tried to log in today, it says it’s expired. What’s going on?

Hello @Jia2 ! I'm happy to report that all impacted accounts have been restored and you should be able to login to QuickBooks Self Employed as normal. 

Please let me know if you still experience any difficulties accessing your account and I'll be happy to look into it ASAP.

Why is my account expired?

I am having the same issue. I can access my account on the app but online it is saying I need to subscribe in order to access my account. I have a one year subscription until 05/11/21. Please advise.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. To start, let's open your QBSE account in a private browser. Private mode prevents storing cache and cookies that might cause problems when running websites.  Here are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Once signed in, see if you can still see the error. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This will remove the stored cache or cookies to refresh your browser. If the same thing happens, use another supported browser. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary issue with QuickBooks. 

 

However, if the issue persists, I recommended reaching out to our technical support team to further investigate the root cause of the issue. They can pull up your account in a private place and verify your account status. Here's how:

  1. Click Assistant from the top bar.
  2. Enter your concern. Example: I can access my account on the app but online it is saying I need to subscribe to access my account.
  3. If you want to connect with us directly, type or say Talk to a human.
  4. Choose either Message an agent or Get a callbackqbse111.JPG
