If you encounter the error message "Your account is on hold, contact us" when attempting to run payroll or contractor payments, it means there's a payroll transaction that requires our attention.
To resolve this, please follow these steps:
- Look for a message in your email with the subject "Important: Urgent issue with the payroll account for [Business Name]."
- The email will explain everything you need to know and contain the documents you need to send. If you have paper copies, you can take photos of them with your phone. Ensure they are clear enough to read.
- Visit the protected QuickBooks Resolution Center and upload these documents as soon as you can so that we can finish our review. To do that, go to the Gear icon and select Resolution Center.
