A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

I am getting an error every time I try to mobile deposit. It says…

“We can’t deposit this right now. You can deposit up to 10 checks every 30 days.”

Anyone seen this before? I cannot seem to find anything about this limit and no one I’ve talked to at Quickbooks can seem to find it either. I knew there was a monetary limit, but checks? Is this true? And can anyone direct me to this rule?

I don’t want to change services, but I may have to find other options if I am limited to 10 checks per 30 days. I cannot run a business with this restriction.

Advise.

Please note that when depositing checks through mobile, there are transaction limits that can be checked by signing in to your account on a mobile device. A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

Thank you for the information. I didn’t see on any of the documents you shared the “10 checks in 30 days” restriction. Can you direct me to that specifically?

My limits stated on the mobile deposit screen state…

“Deposit up to $10,000 per check, $30,000 per week.”

I have no other limits.

I will call the OBO again. Yesterday I was on the phone over an hour, almost two, with no solution or anyone able to find me this “10 check” restriction.

A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

We appreciate you for returning to this thread, MrJon. I'm here to add more details about certain limits in QuickBooks (QB) Checking.

There are some limitations to how much you can transfer from another bank and in QuickBooks. The certain limits may vary by specific factors.

Here are as follows:

  1. When transferring funds from other banks to QuickBooks, there is a $500,000 limit per day for deposits into your QB Checking account. On the other hand, when transferring funds out of your account, there is a $100,000 limit per week.
  2. When transferring funds from QuickBooks into external banks:

  • You can transfer a maximum of $20,000 per day into your QB Checking account, with a maximum limit of $40,000 every seven days.
  • You can move a maximum of $50,000 per day out of your QB Checking account, with a minimum transaction amount of $1.
  • Depending on the account's eligibility, you can also use instant deposit. You can send up to $5,000/day, $10,000, or 5 transactions within seven days.

Please know that the limit for the mentioned feature may vary depending on your account's entitlement. To learn more about this, kindly check this article: QuickBooks Checking FAQ.

Furthermore, I recommend getting in touch with our Support Team again for further assistance. They're well-equipped and can give relevant aid and information about this matter.

A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

These responses from the Quickbooks team are just mind boggling.

What in the world does this response have to do with his question?

HE"S ASKING ABOUT MOBILE CHECK DEPOSITS!!!

A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

I'm getting the error without the message about 10 checks.  It just says "We can't deposit this right now.  Deposit another check". No reason why.  It's baffling how half baked these features and how horrible the responses are from Quickbooks.

A Limit of 10 Check Deposits in 30 Days?

Hello there, DP77. Allow me to chime in and help you with the deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before depositing a check, confirm it meets our requirements and don’t need the funds immediately. Funding the check may take 1-5 business days, but we're striving for the quickest processing time possible.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online app from a mobile device.
  2. Select Cash Flow.
  3. From the QuickBooks Checking home page, select Send Money.
  4. Click Deposit checks. Note: If the option isn't visible or unavailable, you're not eligible yet.
  5. Enter the check amount.

After that, endorse your check:

  1. Sign your name on the back of the check and write For mobile deposit only under your signature.
  2. Take photos of the front and back of your check.
    • Place the check on a well-lit, dark-colored surface.
    • Capture all four corners of the check.
    • Ensure to capture all the details.

Afterward, review the check amount and ensure clear check images. Double-check the date funds will be available. If everything is good, choose Finish depositing. Then, you can receive an email when your bank accepts your check and deposits your funds.

If your check meets the criteria above, let's clear the app cache. It retains data, which can cause an unusual response to the system.

Android:

  1. From your device Settings, select Apps (varies by device).
  2. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
  3. Select Storage
  4. Tap Clear data.

iOS:

  1. From your device Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage.
  2. Choose an app that's taking up a lot of space.
  3. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

If the issue persists, I recommend uninstalling the software. Then, reinstall it to refresh the system.

Finally, I've added these resources to help you learn more about which features are supported on each device:

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about depositing a check. I'm always here to help. Take care.
