This manual process worked for my checking account but fails for my visa account with the error:The uploaded file isn't a valid Web Connect file.

I'll ensure you can upload the file successfully, jgisana.

QuickBooks Online only supports these file extensions for manually uploading bank transactions:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Quicken (QFX)

The error message appears if the file type is incorrectly formatted. Let's review the file format to be sure it can be downloaded. Please see the article Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QBO for additional details on how to confirm it.

Or QuickBooks might not have been able to access the .qbo file because it was damaged. We can download them from your bank's website and re-upload them again to QBO.

Once all your transactions are in QuickBooks, we can match and categorize them.

Please add a reply below if you want to share additional details. I'll revisit this thread to ensure you get the help you need.

Manually uploading the CSV file instead of the Quickbooks file did work.
