Join nowThe only options that come up are for Quicken and Excel. Bank of America Help says just to click on the web connect for Quickbooks but it does NOT appear in the list! Help...all I want to do is download the transactions for each credit card into my Quickbooks account. When I call Bank of America, they refer me to Quickbooks. When I call Quickbooks, they say it's a bank problem. Sooooo frustrating to pay soooo much for Quickbooks software and not be able to download transactions.
I've thoroughly checked our records here but I can't find any related reports, syschroeder.
I'll make sure that you can import your bank transactions to QuickBooks Desktop. Before we start, we'll have to consider that we can't import QFX or QIF Quicken files into QuickBooks Desktop. We can only import Web Connect files into QuickBooks Desktop. These files have a .qbo extension at the end of the file name.
I recommend visiting the Intuit Marketplace to a find third-party applications that can handle QIF Quicken file conversion.
After converting it, you can follow the steps below in uploading the file to QBDT:
Once done, you can now categorize your bank transactions.

Thanks for your reply. I'm just so frustrated about paying the $ for what I thought was a higher-end program and then not being able to use it without purchasing even more stuff to try and patch the process. Quicken does this effortlessly! And all my other bank and credit cards work just fine using Quickbooks, but not Bank of America. Which leads me to believe that it is the bank, not Quickbooks. Just sad that one of the main banks/credit card companies is not compatible with one of the main accounting programs. Doesn't make sense to me. If no one else has had issues with downloading BOA credit card transactions into Quickboks, it must just be me. :(
Hello,
Similar issue for me.
Cannot download Bank of America credit card transaction to QB. I am signed up with QB WebConnect.
I have Quickbooks Pro 2017
At the BOA site I am able to initiate the .qbo statement download.
I get the QB dialog box for Import New Transactions which I select but then nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks, John
Hello there, @jct9841.
Let's create a new test bank account to troubleshoot issues with importing WebConnect files. Then, merge it to your original account to avoid duplicates.
Here's how:
In the meantime, you can import .qbo file in a new test company so, you'll be able to determine if the issue lies in the original company or with the formatting of the .QBO file. Please follow the steps below:

Thanks Grace.
Will give these a try.

Bank of America says if you pay $15/month and have a business account, they will allow export via .qbo files. This is ridiculous. Intuit needs to negotiate with BOA to make this work without another $180/year just to access data is usable format.
