PNC Bank Transaction Download - still unable to connect to download transactions for almost a month now. Message keeps saying try again. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks for getting back here, Kchampion.

Let me address your concern about the PNC bank connection with QuickBooks Online.

I've checked our records here and found out that there's an open investigation in regards to your concern. Our banking engineers are already aware of this and now doing their best to get this resolved as soon as possible.

For now, I would suggest getting in touch with our support team so your company details will be added to one of the affected users. Let me guide you further in contacting our specialists by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Help icon and select the Contact us button.
  2. Enter a short description of your concern something like" getting error : we can't find this account at your bank. Let's make sure the right accounts are connected to QuickBooks. This may take a few minutes. (324)".
  3. Then, Let's talk.

Aside from contacting within QuickBooks account directly,  we can go to this website and try to get in touch with one of our support specialists. Here's the link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en/contact. Once you click the link, we can follow the steps above:

  1. Click the Globe icon at the upper-right corner and select your region (US).
  2. Select QuickBooks Online option and select Continue.

Check out this article to get the work schedule of our support team. Let's go to the QuickBooks Online section to view further details.

Alternatively, we can use a Web Connect to bring the transactions from your bank to QuickBooks Online. The steps below will walk you through the process:

  1. Sign in to your bank's website and get the transactions there.
  2. Use the CSV file format.
  3. Save it your computer or folder where you can find it easily.
  4. In the banking page, click the Update drop-down arrow and select File upload.
  5. Click the Browse button to open the file. Then, Next.

We appreciate your patience while we're seeking on a permanent fix. I hope you're good. Take care!

This is still under investigation, Alfredo-lopez, Our engineers are working hand in hand to fix this.

I'd suggest reaching out to us so you'll be added to the list of affected users. You can follow the instructions of SarahannC at the top.

You can also follow the workaround at the top. This way, transactions will be imported in QuickBooks Online.

Once this is fixed, you can already assign, categorize, edit, and add your downloaded banking transactions.

If you have other concerns, please feel free to leave a comment below. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

How long will this continue? You've guys have been trying to fix it for over a year now. Why not just let your customers know upfront that PNC accounts may have issues and you may have to manually import your transactions which is time consuming and frustrating. I was told if I paid $450 they would fix it. I paid $450 for additional customer support and the issue is still not resolved. This is ridiculous.

We changed banks... thinking that maybe our old bank was the problem.

Now, we're with PNC.  It certainly appears that QUICKBOOKS is the problem, not the banks.  It's time to change accounting software.

Yes, seeing the same problem. Using the manual method but cannot keep this up. I am moving $$$ to another bank that is connected. Just cannot get PNC to connect. I have been down for about 2 weeks and cannot wait longer.

The investigation about the PNC bank not updating has been resolved, pblanken20.

I checked our system and our engineers have fixed the issue and you'll be able to download your bank transactions as expected. We can try manually updating the bank. Then, log out and log back in to refresh the software.

Here's how to manually update:

  1. Go to the Transactions or Banking menu.
  2. Click Banking.
  3. Select the PNC bank.
  4. At the upper-right, click Update

The update may take a bit longer. No worries, we'll notify once it has fully updated while you're working with other sections in QuickBooks. Once updated log out and log back in. Then, go to the Banking page and use the Filter icon in the For Review tab to set the date range of the transactions that you need.

If you're still experiencing the same thing, I'd recommend getting in touch with us so we can raise this issue again to our engineers. That way,  we'll get in touch with your bank and sort things out with them. Check out this article to get the available hours and types of our support team.

Hi there, @marvistaknb.

Allow me to step in for a moment and share with you some updates about the connection between QuickBooks and PNC bank.

Banking error 590 when trying to connect PNC bank to QuickBooks has already been raised to our banking engineers. They're currently working for solutions and understand why this unexpected behavior is happening.

While our engineers are searching for a fix and evolving our products to provide you the best possible user experience, you can continue bringing your transactions through a WebConnect process. You can check out these articles as your guides:

Also, I would recommend reaching out to our Suppor Team. This way, a representative can add your account to the list of affected users in this investigation (INV-50288). Once added, you'll automatically receive email notifications of the latest updates.

  1. Open your QBO account, then go to the (?) Help icon.
  2. Choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  3. When asked by the bot, type "type in a short description of your concern".
  4. Select I still need a human.
  5. Proceed with Contact us.
  6. Click Let’s talk, then choose either Get a callback.

For additional resources, while working with the banking feature in QuickBooks, you can as well read the topics from our help articles.

Please let me know in the comment section if you have any follow-up questions. I'm always here to answer them. Keep safe!
