Hi!
I just discovered Quickbooks debit card. So cool! Can I use this account to have my customers pay me via direct transfer, pay my employees, and other expenses?
Is there a limit to how much I can get paid (from customers) and how much I can pay my employees?
Thanks,
GL
Happy to hear your thoughts about the QuickBooks debit card feature, GLADK.
I'm here to share information about the said feature.
The QuickBooks debit card can be used to receive payments from customers as well as other expenses. However, this doesn't include employee payments. Paying employees is done through payroll.
To be more familiar with using QuickBooks Debit card through this article: Use the QuickBooks debit card to get your cash.
For payroll questions when paying employees, you can have this article as your reference:
I'm just a post away if you have other questions or concerns with payment processing. I'm always here to lend a hand. Thanks for posting and I wish you have a lovely day ahead.
Thanks so much for your quick reply.
I have Payroll as well so all set there.
I saw something about limits for payments. Is there a limit to how much my customer could direct deposit to my Quickbooks debit card? By day, or month eg.?
E.g. in the link you sent me it says:
Transfers that start in QuickBooks (ACH):
Does that mean that a customer who pays me can direct deposit $20,000? What if my customer needs to pay me $50,000 then do their need to do this over several transactions?
And are people actually using the Quickbooks debit cars as their Business Checking Account? (I would much rather use Quickbooks than my bank account.
Thanks,
GL
Thanks for the prompt reply, @GLADK. Allow me to chime in and share additional details about using QuickBooks credit card.
Your customers can transfer up to $250,000 per day into your QuickBooks Cash account and $50,000 per day out of your QuickBooks Cash account.
If the transfers are beyond the limit to pay your employees and contractors, you can submit an online request to increase your direct deposit security limit. Just click on the Submit an online request link in the Request a direct deposit limit increase section to open the form. Additional documentation such as a bank statement may be required. Check out this article for more details: Get help if you’re over a direct deposit limit.
If you’re still unable to see the form, visit the Security Limit Increase Requests page. From there, navigate to the DD Limits Requests section and tap the Add New Request link. Make sure to fill in the field boxes with the correct information.
Also, some of our customers use QuickBooks credit cards as their business checking accounts. It's a monthly fee-free checking account within QuickBooks where all of your customer payments get deposited. Meaning, there are no fees for keeping your money in QuickBooks Cash, and you won't be charged for transferring money to or from your QuickBooks Cash account.
If you have further questions about using QuickBooks credit cards, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They can provide the details on how it works and guide you with the process using their tools.

If you need to receive up to $ 3,000,000 per transaction and per day, and will receive up to $ 15,000,000 for a rolling 365-day period, you should consider opening a Wise business account. You will get the ACH payments for free or $7,5 per transaction with Wire payment. They also offer the Debit Card feature to let you spend anywhere in the world at the real exchange rate. You'll get low conversion fees, and zero transaction fees. You may utilize the bank feeds to QB Online for sure.
