I just upgraded to Quickbooks Desktop for Mac Plus 2022. When I Download transactions from my online bank American Express a window pop-up from Apple appears (attached). Even if I enter my correct computer password, the computer does not recognize it. I have to click on Deny and then another window Pops-up, this new window is the access to my online bank. I enter the ID and password from my online banking access to American Express and I can download all my recent transactions.
However, I should not have to go through the first Apple pop-up window and have to click on Deny to be able to access the second online banking pop-up window

Hello, TrendyGroup.
I have a way to help you remove that first Apple pop-up window when accessing the Online Banking feature.
From your screenshot, it looks like your Mac computer is on the process of verifying and checking QuickBooks (and its services). This usually happen you've changed machines.
It's not really asking for the computer password but the one stored in the keychain. One way to see what the password is to open your Mac's keychain access program:
When the prompt pops up, enter the revealed password and click on Always allow. This will prevent the pop-up window from appearing again and will let you use the banking feature normally.
If you're ready to add and match your transactions, we have a guide that'll help you with the process: Add and match transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
If you'd like to use and utilize the Reports function well, this article has all the details you need: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
You can always use this thread if you have other questions in managing your bank transactions. Would you like some assistance recording other entries? Let me know and I'll guide you through the process.

I am having an issue with downloading transactions. The company has two accounts with one bank: checking and savings. Pic 1, shows the download window with the account selection activated. Why does the checking account show "Outdated - Bank ID =". It should be Bank of Texas N.A. How does one correct it? When the checking account is selected the Download icon is grayed out. When the Savings account is selected the Download icon is not grayed out.
Thanks,
John
Thanks for joining this thread, twolcrazy.
Since you're seeing an "Outdated - Bank ID =" message when trying to download transactions from a particular account, I'd recommend disconnecting its connection, then reconnection it.
Here's how:
Now you can reconnect your account and check to see if the message continues displaying.
If you continue encountering it, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for the information. I have to wonder if those instructions assume QB Window Desktop, as several of the steps do not match QB Desktop for Mac Plus 2022, V21.0.9 R10. Step 7 does not have a "Bank Settings tab". There is an "Online Settings" button. In the attached picture the bottom window is Edit Account. The top window appears when the blue "Online Settings" button is clicked.
Thanks for getting back to us, @twolcrazy. I'm here to help you with downloading your bank transactions in QuickBooks.
The steps outlined by my colleague are for QuickBooks Desktop since you using QuickBooks Desktop Mac, you may follow the tips and solutions below. Before doing so, ensure your QuickBooks company file is back up, you have the most recent version of QuickBooks downloaded, and sign in to your bank's website to check for any maintenance before proceeding.
Then, delete the fidir.txt file from these two locations. Let me show you how:
Location 1
Location 2
Once done, save the up date-to date fidir.txt file. To save, hold the Control key when you select the link. For complete details of the process, see this article: Fix online banking issues in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
I've also added these articles that will guide you in creating rules and matching your download transactions in QuickBooks:

Thank you for the reply. The file fidir.txt was fist deleted from both location. A new version was download using the 2022 link and install in bot location. However, that did not remove the "Outdated - Bank ID =" and that account within QB is not listed as an option when importing the qbo file. I still cannot get rid of the "Outdated - Bank ID" problem. There does not seem to be anyway to remove it.
Thanks for providing an update, @twolcrazy.
