My account is continuously UPDATING and won’t stop. I’ve logged in and out. I’ve used different browsers. I’ve did incognito on the browsers. But my bank accounts are still updating non-stop.
I can’t disconnect the bank account while it’s updating as you can see from the attached photo.
I’m using an iPhone 10 with Chrome and Safari browsers.
Hi @gail315 , thank you have posted in quickbooks community.
You could try clear cache and browsing history then open qb in private window. If it still updating, just wait the update until finished or reach qb help with click help button in your qb.
Glad to assist you.
I used incognito so cache was clear. It’s been updating now for several days. There a technical issue bug that the programmers need to fix.
Quickbooks mod please help get this fixed.
It's my pleasure to assist you today, @gail315,
Before we report this issue to our engineers, I have a couple of suggestions that we can try to get the app in working order. Make sure the app is updated before doing any of this troubleshooting steps.
Let's use the Refresh Data option to download updates or apply recent changes on the application. Here's how:
If refreshing the app doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to resolve unexpected behavior on mobile devices, and ensure updated security settings are downloaded.
Reinstall the app through these links:
For quick access to mobile app resources, see this article: Mobile applications hub.
If the same thing happens, access your account temporarily on a supported browser.
If none of it works, also recommend contacting our Phone Support Team. They can open an investigation about this unexpected hitch and report this to our developers for a fix. To contact support:

Hi Jen,
You misread my post. It's the BROWSERS on the iPhone that are not working. Not the App.
Please give me a solution after you re-read the issue.
Cheers,
Gail

Same issue here. My banks won't stop updating. Tried incognito, desktop app, and online browser. Nothing is working.
I appreciate you for performing the basic browser troubleshooting steps, @Matte1. Let me assist with this issue, so you can continue downloading your bank feeds.
I suggest disconnecting your bank account from QBO, then reconnect it afterwards. Before we proceed, ensure that all transactions are categorized.
Here’s how you can disconnect an account connected to online banking.
You can reconnect the account to start downloading transactions again.
You can refer to this article if you encounter any issues with online banking in the future: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be happy to address your concerns about bank transactions and walk you through the process step-by-step. Community is always here to assist you. Have a great day!
Same issue for me. I have cleared the browser cache, even gone so far as to turn off the PC and reboot it. Switched browsers as well. As soon as I log in and go the banking screen the "Update" button is spinning, as are all of my bank and credit card accounts. I left it alone for over an hour and nothing changed. Something is very broken.
Let's make sure to fix this issue, KRWehmeyer.
Normally, most bank-connected accounts are set up for automatic refresh. This means your bank updates once every 24 hours. You'll want to try logging your QuickBooks Online (QBO) to other supported browsers. Then, double-check if it's still updating. If you're still experiencing the same issue, you can check with your bank if they are undergoing maintenance.
If not, you can reach out to our support team so they can investigate further. They have the necessary tools to determine what causes the issue. Also, they'll be able to pull up your account securely. Here's how to reach them:
On the other hand, you'll also have to review your accounts to make sure that they match your bank and credit card statement. For more information about reconciliation, read this article for your guide: Reconcile An Account In QuickBooks Online.
Reach out to us if you have any questions about bank transactions updates. We're here to help you as always.
Hey there,
I have an actual answer that's simple & really works:
When the bank transactions feed is stuck in a perpetual loop of updating, simply re-order the position of your accounts. It can be as simple as changing the position of just 1 account. Doing this refreshes them & allows you to update things properly. You can them re-order them back to how they were originally.
Hope this helps!
After dealing with this BUG for over three YEARS, this kludge fixed it. Thank you. Now Intuit might jump in and fix the BUG?
Thanks from another user who had perpetual updating. Reordered one account, and it stopped. QBO, are you listening?
