I connected the Etsy Integration and the numbers are flowing through perfectly; I'm super happy with it.
However... I expected the Etsy account to show up in my banking dashboard and it does not. Is it not supposed to be there?? Or do I need to do something to add it there? I don't want to mess up the integration because it's working really well right now... but it would be really nice to see the account there on the dashboard with my bank and PayPal accounts.

Hello Cheryl TB!
We're here to help you with any concerns you may have. Please know that I reviewed this thread and I'm here to provide an answer to your Etsy concern.
When you link your Etsy account via Sync with Etsy, the app automatically enters and categorizes all imported transactions. They are categorized based on the accounts, services, customer, and vendor names you selected when setting up the integration.
Also, the accounts showing on the Banking are the ones linked to online banking. This means that Etsy will not be included on the list of banks on your Banking page.
If you still need to contact our Support Team, you can follow these steps:

I am not familiar with etsy, but if etsy keeps money from your sales, your money, then etsy should be set up as a bank account
Hello there, @Cheryl TB. Glad to know that data flows smoothly in QuickBooks Online.
In addition to Rustler's suggestion, it could be that you haven't set up a bank account yet for the Etsy app. If that's the case, you can follow these steps:
Once done, you'll have to select the bank accounts you set up when syncing QuickBooks to and Esty app. It helps the app to know where to enter transactions.
Afterward, you can go back to the Dashboard and double check if the Etsy app/bank account is already visible from there.
However, if you're referring to the Banking section within your QuickBooks Online account, it'll not be included there since this is integration from a third-party application. The Banking tab will only generate financial intuitions connected to the program.
You can check these articles for more additional details about keeping your data accurate:

I did EXACTLY this. I set up the bank account FIRST, before doing the Etsy integration. Then, when I set up the syncing, I designated the account. The money from that account gets transferred to my local bank account, so I put THAT account in there for that spot.
The money does as it is supposed to.. it goes into that Etsy bank account I set up.. then when it transfers to my local bank account, it shows up to be "matched".
I'm still not seeing what could have gone wrong.

Appreciate the update, @Cheryl TB. I'll share details about your account.
Etsy transactions is integrated in QuickBooks via a third-party application. This means you won't need to see an account connected online in banking for Esty transactions.

Yes, that link was already provided above; I read it, but it's not answering my question.
I'm not clear on what you mean by "you don't need to see an account connected online in banking".
Are you saying that the Etsy bank account does NOT appear in the dashboard with my other banks?
This is what I am TRYING to ask here.. but seem to be unsuccessful in getting a clear answer. If the Etsy bank account does NOT appear in the dashboard because of how the integration is structured, then that's fine. If I've done something wrong in my set up and it SHOULD appear in the dashboard, I'd like to understand that.
Also.. I'm a bit confused when you say Sync with Etsy is a third-party application. It's advertised as developed by Intuit--so wouldn't that make it NOT a third-party application?
Thanks for help on this....
Joining this thread, Cheryl TB.
Etsy is a third-party app that allows you to sync your data to QuickBooks Online. Any information entered in Etsy aren't automatically created in QuickBooks Online. Based on the FAQs from their website, it'll take 1 hour to 24 hours to complete the setup. If you've got issues with Etsy, you'll need to reach out to their support team.
Since the integration was developed by Etsy themselves, we won't be able to modify how the integration handles tasks in QuickBooks.
Also, we can link multiple Etsy account in QuickBooks to automatically download and categorize the transactions for you. Before diving in, please know that Etsy will only sync current calendar year transactions. If you need to get prior year transactions export them into a CSV file then manually upload it to the program.
To help you manage your Etsy, you can use these article: Etsy and QuickBooks Online integration guide (intuit.com)

If you look at App Information, it lists Intuit (which is Quickbooks) as the developer. So how is this a 3rd party app?
Second, I feel like I am asking a yes or no question here and getting a lot of run around. I ONLY want to know.. does the Sync with Etsy app put the auto-created bank account in the dashboard? YES or NO?? No one is answering that. If the answer is "NO", then that's fine. I only wanted to understand if they DO put it there and there's an additional step to take to get it there (as it would be more convenient to have it in the dashboard.
Repeatedly linking 'how to' set up the Sync to Etsy integration isn't helpful because I followed those exact instructions when I set it up--and as I've said multiple times.. the numbers flow through correctly, so the mapping is good.
I ONLY want to know if the Etsy Bank does (or can) show up in the Dashboard. I assumed I could ask the community here and someone could tell me 'yes' or 'no'.... Surely there are people who HAVE Sync with Etsy enabled who are capable of answering that question...
Thanks for getting back to us and sharing more information about your Etsy concern, @Cheryl TB.
The Etsy app will not show on your banking page if it's not connected to Online banking in QuickBooks. In case you decide to connect and sync your bank transactions in QuickBooks, you can refer to this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Also, with regards to the integration, I'd suggest contacting the Etsy app Support Team. They can help you with the process and further investigate this matter. You can also see this article on how to successfully import your Etsy transactions into QuickBooks: Import transactions from your Etsy shop into QuickBooks Online.
I've also got these articles for additional information and tips on how to handle a chart of accounts in QuickBooks:

1) The current bank accounts that are showing the dashboard say "bank" and "checking" (neither of which are the required options you indicated. The Etsy account I expect to see there ALSO says "bank" and "checking".
2) I would love to get support from the app team. However, I cannot find any contact information for them. Can you provide that? On the page for the app, it just links to the instructions which have been shared multiple times already in this thread.
I am extremely frustrated as this seems like it should be a simple thing to answer and resolve.
