I have 48 transactions I now have to recategorize because the system auto puts ALL transactions to uncategorized expense and income. This is frustrating. I have set up rules for many of these, but they still go to uncategorized.

QuickBooks Online sometimes categorize transactions into the Uncategorized Income or Uncategorized Expense accounts. Always ensure to classify transactions into a specific income or expense account.
In your case, you can edit the bank rules you've created. If it's still not reflected on your banking, there's a need to delete then recreate the rules.

I have deleted ALL rules. Still every single bank transaction that comes in is auto classified to an uncategorized expense or income for only 1 of my clients. How do I stop this? There are sometimes 80 transactions a month that I then have to reclassify or delete, because quickbooks is duplicating them.

When setting up bank rule conditions, this will apply to unviewed transactions. Besides, the information that shows in QuickBooks came from the bank, and the bank rules will rectify it to auto categorize transactions. In addition, uploaded bank entries will show as Uncategorized Asset or Expense.
If the bank transaction details don't coincide with the rule condition, the entries will remain uncategorized.
In your case, since you deleted bank rules and still transactions auto classified to uncategorized expenses or income and happen only for one of your clients when downloaded to QuickBooks, I suggest contacting our Care Support team. Is it from when someone makes a payment through QB? I have the same problem when payments made by my customers when they pay invoice/s through QB.

This usually happens when you upload a new transaction, a new customer, and a new bank rule. In this circumstance, you have to categorize them manually.
Any entries that aren't directed to a single account are automatically classed as uncategorized income. Following these procedures will allow you to amend and move these transactions:
