I've got your back, @chippewa21-yahoo.
Right now, connecting Pirate Ship in QuickBooks Self-Employed isn't an option.
As a workaround, you can link the credit card or bank account you used on Pirate Ship like Etsy. This way, the transactions will sync in QuickBooks. Otherwise, you'll have to enter the transactions manually or import them into QuickBooks.
In case you can't find the bank or credit card in the list, you can request support from your financial institution. This way, they can establish a connection with QuickBooks.
For good practice, you can categorize your entries to make sure they go to the correct accounts. To speed up this process, you can create bank rules.
Stay in touch with me if you have more banking or account management concerns. I'm always here to help you.
You are unable to connect it directly to QB, but you may connect it thru Etsy.
my biggest problem i can see is, it doesn't run like a checkbook, showing cash in and out. also, i wish i could enter several categories on my visa bill. i don't want to connect to my bank or charge cards because they are personal....i just want to be able to put one transaction say to Visa and then split out the transactions to list who the money was paid to individually and to different depts. like material, office supplies etc. thank you
Hi chippewa21-yahoo,
I see what you mean. However, the option to Split transactions is only available to the downloaded ones. I also understand that you don't want to connect your accounts, so your option right now is to enter the transactions for the materials part, office supplies part, and so on.
If you have other questions about handing transactions in QBSE, you can always go back to this thread. Have a good one!
