It's great to see you here in the Intuit Community, anderfhm.

I'll be happy to guide you on how you can view your check register.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can view your check register by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Chart of accounts under the Your Company column.
  3. Look for the check register you want to view.
  4. Under the Action column, click on View register.

Once you've accessed the check register, you'll see a list of all the transactions.

To know more about locating your transactions within your account registers in order to review or make alterations to them. See this article for more information: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers in QuickBooks Online.

To learn your way around QBO, visit our Community Help page to watch step-by-step videos that you might need in the future.

Let me know if there's anything else you need while using QBO. I'm always around to help you. Have a great day!

My "action" tab says "run report" not "chart of accounts"...how do I get to "chart of accounts"?

I'll help you locate the Chart of accounts, tarda.

There are two ways to find the Chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online. You can access it under the Transactions tab or in the Gear icon. Here's how:

  1. Click the Transactions tab, and select Chart of accounts.
  2. You'll be routed to the Chart of accounts tab.
  3. Choose the account you want to view by clicking the View register.

The alternative method to view the Chart of accounts is under the Gear icon. Here are the steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon, and choose Chart of accounts.
  2. You'll be routed to the Chart of accounts tab.
  3. Select the account you want to view by clicking the View register.

However, if you're still unable to locate the Chart of accounts, I suggest opening your account using an incognito or private browser. This can help rule out any potential browser-related issues or conflicts that affect the visibility of your Chart of accounts. To open an incognito or private browser window, you can use keyboard shortcuts:

  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift +N

After opening an incognito or private browser window, log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and check if the Chart of accounts is visible. If it appears perfectly, there might be a temporary issue with your browser or its cache. In such cases, clearing your browser cache and cookies or using a different web browser can help resolve the issue.

For more information, please refer to this article: Manage default and special accounts in your chart of accounts. It explains which accounts cannot be deleted and provides lists of accounts that can be edited but not deleted or merged.

Moreover, please refer to these articles to gain a better understanding of your accounts in QBO.

Don't hesitate to revisit the Community if you have more questions about managing accounts in the chart of accounts. I'd be happy to help. Have a great day.
