I'm trying to filter my categorized bank transactions based on a specific date. When I click apply, all of the current records come back, not the date ranged I specified?

Hi there, @tlenzmeier.

I can help you with customizing the dates of your categorized banking transactions.

Usually, the system must read the dates selected beside the Calendar tab. If it's not working on your end, I would recommend performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue.a27 1.PNG

First, you can open QuickBooks using a private window. This browser prevents any virus infections that can cause unexpected behavior when using QuickBooks. From there, go to the Banking page and filter the dates.

To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If that works, I suggest switching back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh.

Moreover, you can also use other supported and up-to-date browsers to narrow down the result.

For additional resources about managing your banking transactions, you can check out the topics from this link: Find help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts for QBO.

Please let me know how else I can help you with your categorized transactions by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

I've already tried clearing my browser history, my cache, and I've opened a private browsing window. None of those work. Every time I get the most current transactions. The filtering works fine on the items for review, but NOT for transactions that are already categorized. I have a stray receipt from last July that I need to correct. The only way I've been able to do that is to undo the categorized transactions and then re-categorize it.
