That answer is totally worthless. I have no accounts in my "chart of account" yet Quickbooks has all my old information and I cannot DELETE THE DATA OR ACCOUNT.
I've come to help share how you're able to delete your account, @vbpets.
You can delete the data of your online company as long as you're still working with it within 60 days. Let me walk you through the steps on how to accomplish this.
But if you're online company is older than 60 days, wiping out your data is not possible. Thus, it is recommended to cancel your subscription and start a new file by following the steps outlined in this article: Add a new company.

Hi, I tried following these steps, but the wipe did not occur. I have been using the trial for less than 3 weeks and due to data feeding over incorrectly, my net income was being misrepresented. I want to continue using as a subscriber, but I need to start fresh. The company ID is still associated with my email address.

You should be able to purge or delete your data if you're still within 60 days. You may have subscribed to QuickBooks Online Simple Start that's why purging your data wasn't successful. Take note that this option is only available on Essentials, Plus, and Advance versions.
As a workaround, you can create a new QuickBooks Online account using the same login credential to start fresh. I'll show you how.

I canceled the subscription before knowing about the purge option. That explains why the purge isn't working.
