What happened to the SMS Text Messaging Feature?

I learned it was called the Text Your Customer for Payment feature. It used to appear on the invoice review page.

Sending invoices through text messages provides your customers with an easier way to make payments, trobertson. I’d love to explain the recent changes to the SMS text messaging feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you're using the old invoice layout, you can easily send invoices directly through SMS. However, for users who are using the new invoice layout, you can still send an invoice via text by sharing the invoice link.

Here's what you'll need to do:

1. On the invoice screen, locate the drop-down arrow next to the Review and send button.
2. Select the Share link option. 
3. Click the Copy link button.
4. Send the invoice link via SMS outside QBO.

I can see that the option to send invoices to clients in QBO is a crucial feature for any business, @Silverbackplumbing . I completely understand how inconvenient it is to lose the simple option for sending invoices via SMS in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
 

Currently, this feature isn't available anymore in QBO. The toggle switch for sending automated invoices is available in the old invoice layout in QBO. As a workaround, you can still send an invoice through SMS by sharing the invoice link generated and then send this link via text outside QBO. 
 

To send an Invoice via text message using the generated link, we can follow these steps below:

1. Open the invoice screen, then click the drop-down arrow next to Save and Close.
2. Choose the Share link.

3. Select Copy link button, then click Done. 

Once done, you can send the invoice link via text message outside the QBO.
