Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @userfrontlineutiliti.

Paychecks dated two weeks before today is already considered as backdated. Thus, the option to process a Direct Deposit (DD) isn't available.

As a workaround, you can change the check type from DD to paper check so you can submit your payroll. Here's how:

  1. In QBO, go to the Payroll menu at the left pane to get to the Employees page.
  2. Click Run payroll at the upper right.
  3. Enter the necessary information in the desired fields.
  4. Change the check type from direct deposit to paper check if that's how you paid them, and submit your payroll.

For more insights about how to pay employees on time with DD, please visit this article: When do I need to submit payroll to pay employees on time?
