Let me provide you some information on what are state forms we process for you, ThalesMetals.
For the state of Florida, we automatically generate the RT-6 form for your business. Then, you can file them in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Just enroll in E-File & Pay services to electronically file and pay taxes.
Here’s how:
For more details about this one, check out this article: Pay and file payroll taxes online.
To learn more about this one, refer to What taxes and forms we submit for you article.
With the other taxes, we need to click the Pay Taxes button in QBO to process the payment to your state. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Pay payroll taxes electronically or manually.
You can check out this article for more details about compliance with state payroll tax regulations: Florida Payroll Tax Compliance.
I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your employee's payroll: Pay employees, enter timesheets, and send payroll forms.
Fill me in if you need a hand with running payroll reports or any QBO related. Wishing you and your business continued success. Keep safe and healthy.
When I go to Taxes --> Payroll Tax --> Forms there is no such thing as Quarterly Forms. I see the FD 941 form that was filed which is quarterly, but that is all. Trying to figure out what is wrong, I follow the steps to "Enroll in E-File & Pay" Again, I do not see the options in the steps (not Taxes --> E-file and E-pay). It is like the instruction is for a different version or something is not enabled for me.
Thanks in advance for the help
Welcome back, @ThalesMetals.
It's my priority that you're able to get this form filed. To better assist you with this issue, can you provide me with some screenshots of where you're not able to go further with the steps my colleague gave you? I'll be able to determine the best solution based on the screenshots that are sent. In the meantime, you can review this article that can give you some additional information about payroll taxes.
I want to make sure that we get this resolved as soon as possible. I'll be waiting for your response.
Please see the screenshots of the 2 screens that do not go with the instructions sent and the article referenced.
Is it possible that the form has not been generated yet and will be generated sometime before the deadline (end of this month)?
Thank you
Hi, ThalesMetals.
You'll want to go to the Payroll Tax tab to download your RT-6 tax form in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me walk you through the steps.
You can visit the Florida Payroll Tax Compliance article for your additional guidance.
For future reference, you can check this article for your guide: Florida Electronic Filing Restriction.
Let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be right here to help.
MariaSoledadG,
I don't think you saw my response and screenshots. The whole point of this thread is that I do not get what the instructions mentioned. I go to step 3 and there is no Quarterly Forms or RT-6 form link. Please see the screenshots.
Thanks
Hi ThalesMetals,
Based on the steps I provided above, you'll have the option to download the form under Quarterly forms to e-file and e-pay the form. Let me provide you some information about this.
You'll have to enroll with the Florida Department of Revenue to e-file the form. To obtain a Florida UI Account, go to Florida DOR Web site. Instructions for enrolling in the e-pay program are included in the File Enrollment Listing for the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR). Please see this article for your guide: Florida Payroll Tax Compliance.
I have also included this article to guide you on how to use E-file and E-pay: How To Use E-file and E-pay in Florida.
Let me know if you need further help. I'll always be around to assist.
When I go to the Payroll Tax --> Tax Forms, I see form 941 which is quarterly, but the RT-6 is not there. That is why I am concerned. I was expecting it to be there.
As far as I know, I have done and set everything on my side since the beginning. I went to validate to Payroll Settings --> Florida Tax and the only field there "Company State Tax Information" is already populated with my Florida Account Number (User ID).
I need help validating that the form RT-6 will be generated and file for the last quarter. I have done a lot of research and read all the articles send here (even the ones that do not apply since they are for Quickbooks Desktop version). You and everything I have researched suggest that I should see/have the form, but I don't.
Thanks for getting back to us, @ThalesMetals. I understand the urgency to generate the Florida Department of Revenue Employer’s Quarterly Report RT-6 form.
Looking at your screenshot, I can see that the Quarterly and Annual forms link isn't available on your end and I suspect a browser-related issue.
To resolve this issue, access your account through a private browser. Use Google Chrome as the main browser, then press CTRL+SHIFT+N on your keyboard. If you can access the forms, go back to the main browser to clear your cache.
If you're still unable to view the tax forms, please contact our Payroll Support team. They can help review your payroll set-up and generate the form. They can also request to investigate this further whenever necessary.
Let me know if you need assistance with anything else. We're always here to help.
When I go to generate Form RT-6 getting the following error message: "Unknown Client-Specific tax Form Printing Error:539"
Welcome to the thread, @ernie8. Let me help you in generating Form RT-6.
Based on the error message you provided, I can see that QuickBooks Desktop is the product you use. Usually, you encounter the error Unknown client-specific tax form printing error 539 when there’s a problem with your last tax table update.
To resolve this, download the latest tax table. Let me show you how:
In addition, you can try to reset the entire payroll update by pressing the CTRL key on your keyboard. Then, select Update in QuickBooks at the same time. For more details about this, you can visit this link: Fix unknown client-specific tax form printing error.
For future reference, see this great resource to know how to view and print copies of your payroll tax forms: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.
