Looking for Quarterly Employee Wage Report so we can file for Unemployment in Mississippi. Online help says there is a printable, sign able form available.

I have to file for Unemployment Taxes - and send a check to State of Miss.  We have less than 100 employees.  So we can file a paper copy of a Employee Wage Report - quarterly.  Where do I find this report.  The amount to pay is shown on screen on the Employee Center under pay liabilities.

I found the solution.  1. Go to Employees Center

2. Payroll Tab

3. File Forms tab

4. Scroll down to the U1-2/3 Employees Quarterly Wage report - MS

Double click, opens, then print sign, print check then mail !

For Quickbooks Online (which often seems to have different, more difficult to find answers), go to "TAXES." Then on the right column, choose "Quarterly Forms." Then Choose "Employer Quarterly Tax and Wage Report Worksheet." I use this information to fill out the Ohio DJFS report in the ERIC online reporting system.

I tried this (using QBO Plus) and didn't see a link for Employer Quarterly Tax and Wage Report Worksheet."

If you are using the Quikbooks Enhanced payroll  you should be able to go to Employees, Payroll Tax forms and W2s, Process Payroll Forms and the window of file forms should have the State and Federal forms for quarterly and annual

Yes, you're right. The Employer's Quarterly Wage Report can be printed directly from QuickBooks Desktop. Just go to the Payroll Center, and go to the File Forms tab. Look for UI-2/3 Employer's Quarterly Wage Report and click Create Form

You also have to click Check for Errors at the bottom of the page before printing the form. This is to make sure that the form does not have any errors or missing fields that requires information.

How come the UI reports are not in alphabetical order.  Is there a quarterly report that will do this by last name?

Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I'm here to share some information about the MS Quarterly Employee Wage Report. 

 

Generally, this quarterly report will show the list of the employees' names in alphabetical order, by their last name (see screenshot below). Let's try out a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this.

 

You'll want to start updating QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. Here are steps to guide you through:

  1. Go to the File menu, then Close Company/Logoff.
  2. Go back to the File menu and choose Exit.
  3. Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon on your desktop, then select Run as administrator.
  4. While on the No Company Open screen, pick Update QuickBooks from the Help menu. 
  5. In the Options tab, choose Mark All and Save.
  6. Mark the Reset Update box in the Update Now tab.
  7. Click the Get Updates button.
  8. Once the Update Complete appears, close and re-open the program.
  9. If you get the message to install update, select Yes. Restart your computer after the installation. 

You can then proceed by downloading the latest tax table update:

  1. From the Employees menu, choose Get Payroll Updates
  2. Select Download entire payroll update.
  3. Click Update
  4. A message, such as "A new tax table and/or updates to your payroll tax forms have been installed on your computer" will show once the update is complete.
  5. Pick Ok

Once done, try to re-open the report and double-check the employees' names. The last name should now show in alphabetical order.

Hello there, @Sunderman. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding the unemployment wage detail report in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I've replicated your scenario here on my end and I also can't find the desired report. I acknowledge that this is an unusual behavior and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Alternatively, I'd also recommend getting in touch with them so they'll know that you're personally experiencing this issue.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon and select Contact us in the Search tab.
  2. From the What can we help you with field, enter your question.
  3. Click on Continue.
  4. Choose either Appointment, Callback, or Chat.

 

In the meantime, you can run the Employee details report if you want to view your employee's information such as their Hire date and Tax info. I'd love to show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Find report by name section, type Employee details.
  3. Click the report to view.

 

You can also run the Payroll Summary by Employee to see their pay info.
