How to change the primary address on my payroll?

If want to update the address in the same state, we can edit the existing one. Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Payroll Settings.
2. Under the Business Information section, select Work Locations.
3. Click the existing primary address and update the Work Location Address details.
4. Click Save.

However, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support Team if want to change to a different state. They have the tools to update this information.

Please make sure that you are login as the primary admin to process updates. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix it.

Here's how:

1. Access your QuickBooks account using a private/incognito browser.

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Safari: Command + Option + P
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

2. Clear cached and cookies.

3. Use a different browser.

If the issue persists, I'll suggest contacting our payroll support for further help. They can check your account and have the tools to update the information.

Thanks for the response, but that did not answer my question. I need to edit the existing address --  because there was a small typo -- not create a whole new address.

The instruction provided by my colleague @Angelyn_Tis the only way to change the primary address on the payroll. You need to add  a new location using the correct details.

I had to call into QB Payroll customer service and they were able to correct the address (after 45 minutes on the phone). This should be fixed so we can edit this info ourselves.
