I need to switch my payroll direct deposits to a new company Bank account

Glad to have you here on the Community page, @kpmario.

You can update your company bank account for direct deposit payroll in the QuickBooks Payroll Account Management Portal.

Here's how:

  1. Click on My Payroll Service from the Employees menu, then Accounts/Billing Information.
  2. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  3. Go to the Payroll Info section, then select Edit under Direct Deposit Bank Account.
  4. Enter your payroll PIN then select Continue.
  5. Enter the new bank account details, and then select Update.
  6. Wait for the confirmation, and then select Close.

Then, update the account that the direct deposit paychecks and fees will post to if necessary.

  1. Go to the Employees, then Send Payroll Data.
  2. On the Send/Receive Data window, select Preferences.
  3. In the Account Preferences, select the new bank account from the drop-down list.
  4. Select OK to save your changes.
  5. Select Close on the Send/Receive Data window.

If your bank account isn't added to QuickBooks yet, make sure to set it up before doing the steps provided above.

  1. From the Lists menu select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click on the Accounts drop-down arrow, then select New.
  3. Tap on Bank, then click on Continue.
  4. Enter your bank account information, then hit Save and close to record the information.

After updating your bank account's information, you have to verify your new direct deposit bank account.

  1. Select Employees, then My Payroll Service, then Account/Billing Information.
  2. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  3. Go to the Payroll Info section and select Verify under the Direct Deposit Bank Account section.
  4. Enter and confirm your payroll PIN.
  5. Select Submit.
  • Change the default bank account to use when creating paychecks in QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Change the bank account where payroll fees will post in QuickBooks Desktop.

Besides, you can also update your bank account via fax or email. For your detailed reference, check out this article: Change your direct deposit bank account for QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
