Not all Payroll Checks are being sent to Intuit for direct deposit

When I start a scheduled payroll and put it through to send to intuit, QB will only send some of the paychecks.

There are around 30 paychecks to be sent direct deposit but only 20 are selected to be sent to Intuit.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Not all Payroll Checks are being sent to Intuit for direct deposit

Good afternoon, @Keyboard24.

Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns here in the QuickBooks Community. I hope your day is going great so far.

To clarify, have you made any payroll modifications to your employee setup, paychecks, company information, or liability checks that include special characters? If so, that's why some of your paychecks failed to send. When special characters are added when you do modifications, the data won't flow or the connection could time out.

To resolve this, you'll have to check that no special characters such as dashes, hyphens, ampersands (&), and slashes are added to the modified payroll.

Here are some examples:

  • Using #123 in the check field or Memo field or use a dash such as 123-DD on paychecks, liability checks, and liability adjustments.
  • Adding an e-mail address in the profile i.e., John @gmail.com. Adding an employee address using a special character such as 123 Thelma & Louise Ave.
  • Modifying Company Information by adding special characters

I also want to mention it's important to ensure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest release. This way, the program will run with the newest features and fixes. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Update Now tab.
  3. Select Get Updates to start the download.
  4. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks and accept the option to install the new release.

Then, download the latest payroll tax table to ensure you have the newest rates and calculations.

If you continue to have issues sending the payroll, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. This way, one of our agents can review your account in a secure environment and investigate this matter further.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any additional concerns. Have a good one!
