Accepted Tax Return Notice

I prepare the payroll for a number of companies, but there is only one company I don't receive an accepted tax return notice from Intuit when I file the W2/W3. My email address is listed in the company information and it appears on the W-3. Is there another email setting where I need to input my email address or a box I need to check? I do receive a notice when I file the 940 and 941 for this company.

Accepted Tax Return Notice

Hello there, @betsy59.

You can check the status of the forms you electronically sent under Filing History. Let me guide you how.

  1. From the Employees menu, select Payroll Tax Forms and W-2s.
  2. Select Process Payroll Forms
  3. Under Filing History, click the E-Filings tab.
  4. Click the View link in the Audit Trail column for more details.

Also, IRS tracking numbers to verify filings sent from individual and business customers. If you still want to reach out to the IRS E-File Help Desk for verification, I'm adding the link I recommend: IRS E-File Help Desk.

I've included some articles about e-filing forms:

Please let me know if there's anything you need help with. I'll be on the lookout for your response. Have a great day!

Accepted Tax Return Notice

Yes, I know it's been filed and accepted I just want to know why I don't get an email notification for this company when I get notifications for other companies.

Accepted Tax Return Notice

We'll check the email address entered/used when e-filing the form, Betsy59.

I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. A payroll specialist will check your account to verify the information. Here's how:

  1. Click Help.
  2. Go to QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter "Unable to receive tax return notice" in the description field, then click Continue.
  5. Select either Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist.

Although, if the email address entered/used when filing is correct, you can contact the IRS to verify why you haven't received any email.
