Join nowHi there, @jluce.
Good to see you here in QuickBooks Community. I'm here to help and provide some insights about verifying your test transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
After signing up for a Direct Deposit, Intuit makes two small withdrawals of less than $1.00 each from the bank account you set up. A test transaction should appear in your bank account in 2 business days. You can verify the amount either by checking your bank statement online or by calling your bank.
Once done, you can follow these steps to confirm the amount and activate your Direct Deposit. For QBO Payroll Enchanced:
If there's no New payroll tasks button, here's another way to verify test transactions:
Please take note that you only get one attempt to verify your test transaction. If you aren't successful, contact Payroll Support for assistance.
For other QBO Payroll versions, follow the steps in this article: How to verify a test transaction made to your bank account.
After you successfully activate direct deposit, you can refer to the support articles below to run your payroll:

Hi jluce,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about verifying my account's test Direct Deposit concern you had yesterday. Was it resolved?
Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Hello Reymond, and thank you for your reply!
I am still not able to verify it. I do not have a Company option under Settings>Payroll Settings>Bank Account, and there is nothing until Payroll>Overview or Payroll>Employees that asks for verification. There is, under Payroll>Overview>Make Your Next Payroll A Breeze, an option to connect a Bank Account, which is what I went to when I started to set up Direct Deposit, and that is how I received the small deposit in the account, that I can't verify. Interestingly, the bank account has been connected since the start of this QBO file a couple years ago, but I thought perhaps it was still necessary to go through those steps to set this up. Please help, what might I be missing?
Thanks for responding to our follow-ups, @jluce. To make sure you're able to confirm the test amount successfully, please ensure you're logged in as the admin of the account.
If you're still unable to see the Company option, we can use a private or incognito window to isolate the issue. It could be that you're experiencing a browser-related issue.
Here's how:
If that works, that means your browser cache is already full. Your next step is to go back to your main browser, then clear your browser's cache to remove temporary internet files stored in it that cause the issue.
If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Support team for further assistance.

I have all the options to verify my account but unfortunately, no small transactions are in that account. There's nothing pending or settled and it's been a few days.
Hi there, shanbot.

As mentioned above, after signing up for a Direct Deposit, Intuit makes two small withdrawals of less than $1.00 each from the bank account you set up.
