Any new updates on this? We are still having issues.
We are seriously considering moving to Sage after this. It has been almost 2 months with Quickbooks working like crap.
I understand the necessity of resolving the employee center freezing issue, cskipps.
As I've checked our records, I can see that our engineers are still working to fix the problem. To receive live updates about the status of the investigation, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team, so they'll add you to the list of affected users.

Not sure if I was just lucky but my QB Enterprise started working properly after the last update. Sorry this is happening to you. It is so frustrating.
I have had success with once the employee center opens up if I keep the window in a smaller size it works just fine. the issues seem to start when maximizing that window.

Any updates on this? We are running QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus 2023 (3 license multi-user Local Area Network file sharing environment) and we have been having the issue since Mid-June. It has always worked better on our "server" machine which is also a workstation and just happens to also host the file for multi-user access. Also, I just noticed this morning that it works better when a workstation (non-server) user is the only user and operating in single user mode.
We are still having terrible delays in anything involving the Employee Center. It freezes/locks up for multiple minutes on every click on anything in the Employee Center. I have timed it at it's worst taking as long as 10 minutes plus for every single click of an item in the Employee Center. Click Edit on an employee, wait 10 minutes for the dialog window to show up - make the edit to the employee and click save and wait another 10 minutes for it to save and return access to QuickBooks. In the intervening time, QuickBooks is completely frozen/locked up and will accept no input of any kind until you just wait for access to return.
Sometimes the delay may "Only" be 45 seconds to 2 minutes but even that is intolerable with over 100 employees. This is killing us on productivity and Intuit needs to fix it ASAP.
Does anyone have any updates or more trouble shooting tips/tricks?
I appreciate you, 421_Pilot, for being a part of this conversation.
The investigation has been successfully addressed/resolved. However, since you're still facing freezing problems while sharing the file with multiple users, you may need to increase your RAM to improve your server and workstations. This should help reduce performance problems in QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus 2023.
I suggest referring to this article for further information on enhancing RAM performance and optimizing your network interface card (NIC) settings. This will help boost network performance and ensure seamless communication between your computer and the network: Manage your data files to fix QuickBooks Desktop performance issues.
When engaging in such tasks, you can work with your IT personnel. They can guide you throughout the configuration process.
If the same thing happens, my suggestion would be to get in touch with our Support Team. They can conduct a thorough assessment of your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file and assist you in ensuring the seamless functioning of QBDT when accessing the Employee Center.
If you have any more questions or need help, please feel free to post again. I'm eager to assist you whenever you need help fixing your company file. Bye for now and take care.
Nothing has changed with the Employee area on my Quickbooks. It is still extremely slow. I am running QB Enterprise 2023 with 2 users. I do not believe this is a computer issue or my problem. It worked fine until June when everyone was having these slowdowns. Are others really not having issues any more or have they just accepted the fact that it takes a whole afternoon to do payroll? I just made a quick change to one employee and it took me 15 minutes to complete the task due to the slow speed of loading the employee's info page.
Mine finally started working properly about a month ago. I do believe Intuit issued an update that corrected it for me. I am not sure why it didn't work for you, but clearly seems to be a QB problem. I hope you get resolution soon because this is so frustrating!!
We are on 2022 Pro Plus Rev 11_9, but still having similar issues with Employee Center. However, one of the updates they released did fix it initially, for a few weeks, then it "broke bad" again.... Just not as bad as it was. Today, reports from our HR and Payroll groups is that it remains slightly improved over the initial report, but not back to what we were experiencing prior to June. We are planning an upgrade to the 2023 version in the coming month (mid-october) due to other issues relating to the inability to get a clean update on many of our computers. I am not expecting any change in the Employee Center through; however, once we have it upgraded to 2023, I'll post an update if it makes any difference on our end. My understanding from the user community is that Employee Center slowness issue affected multiple platforms, so I feel we are most all in the same boat with that one. It takes our group about a day longer (was two) to complete payroll, so its not a good thing for sure. We continue to wait for new updates/releases hoping it will fix it.
